I have been going here for years (since I was 15, now I’m 23) and every time I visit home from my new job location I come back. Gym is always clean, people are friendly, and it’s really an all in one experience as they offer standard memberships, training, boot camps, and the age range is a variety of all ages from high-school to elders - 20/10 experience. If you like a planet fitness or large chain gym vibe the key difference and reason why I prefer Required Fitness is that it’s got an amazing local and customized feel. Love this place.
Really like this gym. Pretty minimalist setup but perfect for strength training. Could use another squat rack (or two) but it's a good spot.
Edited to add:. This place is under new ownership and everything has improved across the board.
We have been going to Required fitness for 3 years now.
Things I like most about the gym
-Very friendly atmosphere
-Lots of different types of folks ranging from serious athletes to folks just trying to get into shape. Everyone is friendly, but there to workout!
-Just the right size. I've been lifting 5 days a week for about 30 years now. They have everything I need, but its a lot easier to get at than in one of the huge big-bog gyms
-Its about 5 minutes from my house
If you live, within 10 minutes of Required Fitness and want to work out, the go give Required Fitness a try.
Its much better to support small businesses like Required Fitness than the big box gyms.
Love this gym! I have been going here for the past 8 years. I currently train with Tyler. I have had a few other personal trainers at larger gyms, and Tyler is the best I’ve worked with. All the trainers are extremely experienced. I would feel good going to any of them. I have my personal trainer certification and health coaching certification, so I’m pretty picky about personal trainers. Great neighborhood gym!
