Hayfork Group Campground

Address: ID-21, Idaho City, ID 83631, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Just had a family reunion gathering up there today. A nice camp ground, did not see a single mosquito. Some flies, but not bad. There are bathrooms, and technically running water, but you have to pump it, it's actually pretty cool. The water is cold and tastes pretty good. There is a small area that kids can play in the creek, but no serious swimming or fishing, at least not when we were there 4th of July weekend.”

“I absolutely love Zamzows we do their lawn care program every year. We also buy our vegetables and fruit plants and also houseplants here too. They have the healthiest best taken care of plants and products. I love that their lawn products are safe for my daughter and my dog. Their pepper popper spray is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this store and its employees every location I've been to has been just top notch. Keep up the good work. You will always have our business.”

“Overall a great park. We had lots of fun the kids really enjoyed the splash pad area and the farm themed playground. A few snobby moms but the kids had a blast either way. I would recommend bringing children here. Bathrooms available also small outdoor grills walking trails and outdoor fitness stations. The kids never wanted to leave this may be our new favorite park.”

Station Creek Trailhead

Address: County Hwy 17, Boise, ID 83701, USA

Park

“Enjoyable, but steep for inexperienced hikers... I enjoyed it but just beware it is uphill and if you have someone in your party who isn't as fit, things won't be as enjoyable. We pushed on and made it close to the top, but we did not go to the top because to reach the top there is another steep climb and our less experienced hikers were ready to turn around. Great views of the valley. We saw a lizard, birds, chipmunks, and a squirrel. The trail is well kept and again, for the inexperienced there were some narrow steep parts that made them a little nervous. Not crowded at all. A pleasant mountain hike.”

Stephen C. Guerber Park

Address: 2200 Hill Rd, Eagle, ID 83616, USA

Park

“Nice area with a baseball park, soccer fields, picnic gazebos, playground, splash pad, walking trail, basketball hoops, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, restrooms. 2 large gazebos with 8 (I believe) picnic tables in each. Sliding doors within gazebos allow separation of eating areas for smaller groups or privacy. Wonderful playground was enhanced again this year, 2021, plus a fun splash park for hot days! Trees are small so the only usable shade is in gazebos - bring your own shade on hot days! A narrow walking path encircles the park. We've used this park since it opened. The final product is very nice, thank you Eagle City!”

Lucky Peak State Park

Park

“Beauty Beauty Beauty.. that's all there is to know. A quick get a way place to go for the day or for a few days! A quiet piece of time reserved just for you. A must try. Be aware however! Places of such peace and quiet don't last long for the picking. With so many new people moving into this beautiful state of Idaho it's going to be hard to find peaceful places. Go while you still can. 😁”

Old Penitentiary Trailhead

Address: 2421 E Old Penitentiary, Boise, ID 83712, USA

Park

“Great, short(ish) hike that is fairly populated. Folks should know that: 1) a lot of locals and their off-lead dogs hike here (and are super friendly); 2) we did the ascent in 30 minutes and it's a good short heart ❤️ pumper in portions; and 3) if it's been raining, the Old Pen track can be super silty/slick/steep in parts; if it's been dry, it's super dusty/slide-y. Because of the latter, we chose to head right ("Old Pen Trail") at the start of the hike to take the steep parts on the ascent, and take the upper trail (Table Rock #15) on the descent (more rocks, less slippery). We did this as a brief hike before a long car ride home, but next time we'll explore the off-shoots (quarry trail, tram trail, etc) and make it longer. Views of Boise and mountain ranges in distance were fantastic.”

Amity Dog Park

Address: 2900 2nd St S, Nampa, ID 83686, USA

Park Store

“My dog always has a blast”

Reid Merrill Park

Address: 637 E Shore Dr, Eagle, ID 83616, USA

Park

“A very cute setup! The very cool nod to the historic past with Sparky the giant chicken that used to sit atop the Merrill's Egg Farm sign is awesome. The picnic tables and shelter the lookout on the Eagle River as it runs past the park are a wonderful touch as well. I will definitely come back in the summer to see the splash pad piece in operation.”

Last Chance Ditch Co

Address: 118 N Commercial Ave, Emmett, ID 83617, USA

Local government office Park

“Cute and quaint park. Has one larger play structure and one smaller for younger children (3 and under). Set in an industrial area so it's kind of quiet. Has a separate building adjacent to the structures which has bathrooms there. There's a covered canopy with plenty of picnic tables for people to eat...even a grill to use. Tennis courts right next to it. Set on wood mulch. Great little park for quick trips.”

Julia Davis Park

Address: 700 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702, USA

Park

“Great park in Boise along the water. Great views by day or night. Many out walking as well as biking. There is a lot of interesting history posted along the trail about the Davis family for those that also enjoy learning about the history. Miles worth of trails to enjoy. Paved surfaces are perfect for bikes and strollers.”

Ada/Eagle Bike Park

Address: Old Horseshoe Bend Rd, Garden City, ID 83714, USA

Park

“Pretty cool place. I went because I took my dog my dog to the dog park that is there, although it was closed for fencing repairs (dog part of it) , I still allowed my dog to run around and explore. There is even an R.C. track for remote controlled cars to race, etc. I was pretty impressed by the whole place. It wasn't crowded and a great place to go mountain biking with what appeared to be miles of trails for mountain bike riders/racers.”
