  Great park to hike, bike, run or cross-country ski (no groomed trails).

  Nice quiet place to go for a walk. The trails are separated into several loops or the loops can be combined for a walk of about 4 miles. Pit toilets. Maps can be found throughout the trails, and doggy bag and can station available. Paths are wide and easy to follow.

  Nice terrain and views with a body of water in the middle of the preserve. One of the best in Lake County

  I nice place for a beautiful, but not too strenuous, walk. The walking path is broken up into 4 sections. 2 are crushed gravel and if you do both of the gravel sections it's about 3.5 miles. Of the other two, 1 is grass. 1 is woodchips. I don't know their distance but they're fairly short. A few small hills but mostly flat. Some field and some tree cover. Outhouse by the parking lot, benches along the way, and an old fashioned well by the parking lot for a quick drink or to wash your hands.

  This is one of my favorite forest preserve. There is one path that goes all the way around like in most forest preserves. Some paths go on the side and you aren't supposed to use bikes there. One of those paths has a little more paths to the sides and they are not as flat. Anyway this park is cool. If you have time to explore it a little longer you will be even further amazed.
