(August 8, 2018, 10:03 pm)This was a best kept secret until last year. :) Now the splash pad can get very crowded during pre-nap hours. There's also a sand pit on the other side of the parking lot with dinosaur bones to dig for. Fun, but bring bug spray.
(June 21, 2017, 9:35 pm)This new Lindenhurst park has two new soccer ⚽ fields, a summer water fountain play area for the kids, restrooms, and a 9 hole frisbee ⛳ golf course. Like all village parks in Lindenhurst, no dogs are allowed. The sign says, "No Pets." However, I walk my dog along the paved pathway at the left of the entrance. This path connects to the McDonald Woods, a Lake County Forest Preserve, where leashed pets are allowed. The underpass allows for safe passage beneath busy Grass Lake Road. Forest View Park, another Lindenhurst park, is located just west of the preserve.
