“This facility has been very helpful for me. My father is here they have taken decent care of him, especially with me living in Chicago I'm not available to come that often and its only me. So I pretty much depend on them as much as my father does. The only problem I have is that my father's clothes are always gone and all his hangers. I don't know if I come on laundry day or what? Also, sometimes it does smell pretty bad, but I always bring my air freshener and I put them in my fathers room. Now I'm beginning to notice that his room's floor and bathroom is not as clean as it was in the beginning. My plans are to report it to housekeeping staff management.”

“My brother, a developmentally disabled adult came to Bayside Terrace, 15 years ago, on the advice of a social worker who had done a graduate school rotation that included this facility. I am a fireman in Chicago and have seen the hell of bad nursing homes, and This is not one of them! We cared for him at home, well intentioned but misguided, as we were not professionals. There was a crisis, and so we sought help, and found it at Bayside. They guided him through his crisis, off his meds, and into the workshop, such fine people TY Bayside. He found a place to live in his own way, much better than the social isolation of a family home. I have never once smelled any unsanitary conditions, he likes the food so much that on occasion he reschedules our family visits. All of the staff well meet and speak with you at any time you need to, and have always been very caring and concerned. My brother has been at Bayside for over 15 years and receives better professional care than we can provide him at home. I wish you peace, both for yourself and your family member in need.”
