His quick, confident and strong skills revived my child's pulse. They were incredibly sensitive to my situation as they gathered all of the facts about the incident. I'm forever grateful, humbled and impressed by their speed and ability. They responded faster than the ambulance due to proximity and not only eased some of my fear but actually saved my dear child (along with lifeguards and a doctor who happened to be at the pool). “I have had more than a couple of instances that required me to interact with the Lansing Police department. They have always been kind, courteious, and professional. They respond quickly when called. Even when the was a domestic situation going on in my parking lot. The officer spoke to both parties in a professional manner and was able to have them move on without any incident. I was afraid they would arrest the young man. Even though the lady was the one hitting and cursing him. The officer was very level head and showed respect to all parties. By the end everyone was able to walk away and live their life. I have not had a bad experience with Lansing PD (let's hope I never will)”

“Biking on a path that goes through Oak Brook, one of our bicycles malfunctioned. Although the reason two squat cars came by a couple of minutes apart from each other after we had been stuck there for a good 15min plus looks like someone called them on us, I flagged the second officer asking for a phillips screw driver. He didn't have one and kept going though he came back around again with a pair of pliers that equally helped us fix the bicycle and get going.”

“Never had a problem with the police, was actually grateful that the one police officer knew my dog and wasn't afraid to make entry to my home despite the warning from the alarm company that owner has a pit bull on premises... My only complaint is that the police station has regular 9 to 5 business hours like a bank, that and my neighbors and I have complained about speeders on residential streets with kids playing and they have done nothing to resolve it...”
