They don’t linger and are not abrasive. You will not get asked if you would like a refill on your water. The food is massive but above all quality and delicious. “Man. I can't wait to have Bamboo again. My go to is General Tso's chicken or tofu and they cook it so well! The chicken pieces are also good cuts and not little piddly crumbles of chicken so you get a perfect meat to batter ratio. The portions are huge and the containers are jam packed so I always know I'll get my money's worth. The only complaint I have is the general Tso's sauce can be a little too thick. Their shrimp egg rolls are great as well. They actually put more than one baby shrimp in each one and the dough has a great flavor and texture too. Their crab Rangoon is a favorite of ours. They seem to use the same flavorful dough as the egg roll, so it's not just a fried pastry with cream cheese in the middle. During this quarantine we've tried two other Chinese places and it's just not doing it for us. There's was at least one thing worse than just lackluster at those places and it left us pretty disappointed. If Bamboo Garden doesn't cook something impressively well, it will at least be better than "good". We sorely miss Bamboo Garden during this quarantine and we can't wait for them to open back up.”

“Had to leave Subway on Illinois Rd and Scott Rd because they were out of bread! I used to work for Subway (on Jefferson Blvd- SW) and our main job was to keep food fresh, stocked and bread made. This place has refused to bake cookies (wanted 2 dozen) at 6pm and has the worst management I've come across at a Subway! Went over to my old store on Jefferson (joined with Dairy Queen) and had wonderful service and a good sandwich. ILLINOIS RD AND SCOTT RD SUBWAY NEEDS IMPROVEMENTS BADLY!”

“Just a really outstanding meal. All of the food that I had on my first visit to this restaurant was just bursting with flavor, served piping hot and made with fresh ingredients. The owner even came out of the kitchen to check on us. You couldn't ask for a better server, spot on perfect! One word of caution though is that if you order spicy, you will get spicy. I like hot and ordered the "medium" spicy which was probably just a tad too spicy for my tastes. I was warned beforehand though. Next time I'm just getting no or low spice so that I can taste all of the wonderful ingredients in the dishes they serve! The interior of the building is very basic, but I'm still giving them a full 5 stars, which I normally don't give.”
