Northwestway Park

I had a great visit at the park today. Was able to sit and listen my favorites of smooth jazz under a shady tree. Not alot of shade, but I enjoyed the peace.

We visited just for the playground, which is large and has a lot of fun things for the kids to do. The playground area is partially surrounded by a wall, which helps keep the kids from running into the rest of the park or into the parking lot. There are a good number of benches for adults, several of them shaded, at least around noon-1 when we were there. There's also a small pavilion with picnic tables near the playground and restrooms with drinking fountains.
The downside was that there was a lot of trash, both on the playground and in the surrounding area. I had to throw away some drink containers when we arrived so my kids wouldn't get ahold of them. All the trashcans are located near the eating areas, not by the playground, which might be part of the reason there was so much trash in the playground area.

Has a great playground for toddlers. I like the walking path too. Has a disc golf course too.

It is a calming place, has a short trail and if you are lucky can see deer crossing there too! It’s peaceful and there are play grounds for children too.
