“I am a repeat customer of Jones Movers (of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA) because: they are on time, reasonable in price, polite, respectful, thorough, and demonstrate exceptional teamwork. I am most familiar with Jones Movers from my two relocations, in both instances, from one apartment to another within Indianapolis. Be aware that your deposit will apply toward arrival and departure to and from your locations, as originating and ending at the moving company's business location. Workers are "on the clock" while in the truck(s) and in transit. To customers who encounter negative reviews with movers: understand that certain types of businesses seem to attract complaints. (Think about insurance companies, especially lower-priced insurance companies that operate on low margins. Insurance companies make their money by not providing insurance. That is the nature of their business, combined together with the already-unfortunate situations that they address all the time.) Customers can greatly improve their moving experiences, approaching five-star level with common sense, reasonable advance planning and basic preparation. 1.) Customers: Be diligent and discrete— Understand that your (and anyone's) very high value, easily recognizable, and especially portable items attract attention from movers, passerby, anyone. Arrange special transportation and handling of those items with specific and highly trustworthy individuals. If unknown to you, get proof of insurance and bonding, as well as verified contact information for submitting claims. 2.) Customers: Keep a secure inventory of your items— 2a.) If you lack evidence of your items, their value and their current condition, how can you prove that you ever posessed those items in the event that they become missing??? (Hopefully this is common sense for you to avoid classic "he said, she said" conflicts.) Get up-to-date professional expert appraisal and/or keep proof of purchase/ownership, manufacturer-assigned model and/or serial numbers, etc. 2b.) Obtain and preserve the highest (reasonable) resolution digital photographs of your items from all sides and angles, side-to-side and top-to-bottom. Ideally ensure that your photographs are geographically (GPS) tagged, (satellite or atomically) date- and time-stamped. (Both are common features of 'most' digital cameras and smartphones, when enabled.) Photographs should be recent, clearly and comprehensively photographed at your origin address, and include some form(s) of your current valid and legal photographic identification—passport, driver's license, state ID, business card, or combinations thereof. 2c.) Sequentially number your boxes, uniquely and in a common consistent format (using coordinating labels, a rare marker-color, your signed initials, unique encircling geographic shapes, etc., etc., etc.) Ensure that boxes are tamper-proof and tamper-evident for your speedy evaluation upon arrival at their destination(s), before signing arrival paperwork, and when movers have fully exited. Photograph and inspect any and all anomalies. 2d.) For utmost speed and efficiency, boxes and items should have clear labeling of their specific destination (room, cardinal wall direction, orientation, etc.) If you are reading movers' customer reviews, you are already planning for a successful move. Continue your planning and preparation by researching and following professional advice and and recommendations! If your posessions have personal, sentimental, and/or significant monetary or irreplaceable value, please plan accordingly. Extremely valuable items are transported every hour of every day, all over, and across the world. This is not rocket science (unless you do have a rocket). :-)”
