I have had the honor of working in this studio for more than a decade on so many various projects, different diverse styles, making records, even having rehearsals. Alan is a national treasure, one of the best and always works with the best. He has engineered, produced, mixed and mastered more records than anyone I know and every time he is flawless. The times that I have been lucky enough to be under his microscope, I have felt like he is relentless in bringing out the best of me and others with a calm, easy yet serious and disciplined devotion to make sure things come out right every time. Consistency would be a good word to describe his work as well, there's never any fall to fatigue or a wear out with this guy, a true master of the art. The room is fabulous (well, all of the rooms.) It is a very welcoming, calming environment and a great place to be creative and really get great work done. One of the only studios in town with a grand piano, a Hammond B-3 and so many other great tools at your disposal. Another perk is, with the amount of talent that Alan is in touch with, you never know who you're going to run into, which is always a pleasant surprise. Whether you are working with a national artist or someone unexpectedly drops in to check on a mix, pick up material, etc. The stories and laughs we share in the control room are always motivating...(oh and the pretzels.) I am honored to have gotten to record in this room and have Alan Johnson as the captain of this ship and be such a loyal friend and teacher for so many years. I'm also thankful for the people that he has brought into my life that I otherwise would have never met.”

“Ed was amazing! This store is top notch in every way. We came in with two pictures we needed matting for. Not only did Ed give us a steal of a deal but his attention to detail was phenomenal. We had a very old cardboard poster my husband got from a friend. Not worth much but has great sentimental value. The picture was rough, the edges were beat up, and the white lettering had some dirt on it from being stored in a basement. It wasn’t the kind of thing I’d hang anywhere. But Ed matted it so you couldn’t see the edges at all, and even took the time to clean up the lettering. He made some other very keen choices with the backing and changing out the plastic front for glass. The picture looks completely different. It’s now something I am honestly ok with hanging in our guest room. If you’re ever in need of a true professional framing company this is the place. And if he’s doing same-day work you can browse through his very extensive and unique antiques he sells as well!!”
