We bought items to make a sandwich and took it home and ate it right away. DO NOT PASS UP THE TOMATO FOCACCIA. It reminded me of some the excellent sandwiches I would get in Chicago. We will definitely buy one every single time we stop in. I was tempted to try one of their fresh desserts but at $5 each I couldn't pull the trigger. (Maybe I'm just ignorant to the going rate as I rarely buy fresh to go desserts.) But I'm sure they would have been delicious as they looked it! Owner (I'm assuming, or manager but definitely got the owner vibe) was super kind. We definitely come back to local places that treat you like family!”

“Had a good experience. We showed up when they opened up at 11am and they only had a few others that came in during our time there. It's a good time to go if you're wanting to eat out without a crowd. The chicken had great crunch and flavor. You got a good amount of chicken for the cost. I chose all dark meat and got 2 legs, 2 thighs and a back. Plan to give extra time for the fried chicken. It takes 30 mins to make. I got mashed potatoes and gravy as my potato side with the fried chicken dinner. They were smooth and the gravy was good but needed salt imo, but that would be good for those who need a low salt option. Coffee was standard diner type coffee; good, hot and fresh. The salad bar had a lot of different salad options. Potato salad, pasta salad, pea salad, cottage cheese, bacon, black olives, ham, onion, etc. Was happy to see poppy seed dressing too. My party said the catfish was amazing. Waitress said the ribeyes are what she would recommend for next time, that they're hand cut and one of her favorites as well as the fried chicken.”

“I was shooting a film in town about a month ago and one of my costars and I stopped by for a shot and a beer and ended up staying all night! I spent more on the jukebox than I did on drinks, but based on the reaction of the crowd that slowly built over time, that was a good thing! Prices are fair, atmosphere is unmatched, and unruly patrons are delt with discreetly. Great small town bar, felt very welcomed by the locals. If I find myself in town again, I'll definitely be back!”

So for a bit of back story, I went to the Philippines for about 40 days, and when we got back home in Indiana, most food I wasn't satisfied with because the food here just isn't the same, but here, man I fulfilled me. The mushroom and Swiss is literally the best sandwich I had ever had. The wait times aren't long and the fries are immaculate. I have no complaints. I love this place.”
