Backyard Box Office KC

I was lucky enough to Win an anniversary giveaway and had Backyard box office KC come out and set up a movie night with our loved ones. I was beyond blown away with how wonderful things went. It was so easy that night, the crew came out, got things set up and everything went smoothly. I stress a lot over a lot and this night was able to sit back and just enjoy the evening. Both of my kids had friends out and all of them have asked me when we can do this again. I absolutely loved everything about this night.

I was invited a week later to another event hosted by a different company and the quality and sound were so terrible compared to what I experienced that my children (14 & 5) requested to leave.

I would give 10 stars if I could, as I truly cannot recommend Michael and his amazing team at Backyard Box Office KC enough. We connected with Michael about hosting a movie night for our volunteers and staff at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and he immediately responded to our request and scheduled a time for a site visit.

From our first interaction, he was friendly, genuine, on time, and communicative without fail. He has immense knowledge about his industry & equipment and has an impressive arsenal of processes in place so that his team is ready for anything. We had to postpone our first date due to weather, and Michael was in communication with us the whole time we were working to reschedule. We even had a hiccup with our planned site the night of our rescheduled event, and he and his team pivoted their entire set-up process like it was nothing. As a person in the events industry, I cannot say enough about their unwaveringly calm demeanor and creative problem solving.

The night of the event, they arrived with plenty of time to set up the screen, sound system, lights, and popcorn machine. Everything was set up on time and looked organized. The screen was bright and displayed the picture beautifully, and the sound system was top notch. Michael and his team worked tirelessly to make our event seamless so that our staff could enjoy the event as well, and they thought of every little thing. They were prepared for anything & the pinnacle of professionalism, and I cannot wait to work with them again!

Backyard Box Office was a fantastic partner in hosting a community-wide sports viewing event. The host (me!) does not know anything about technology and the owner walked me through every step along the way. In the end, it was not complicated as he brought fantastic generators! Michael and his team were incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind and really worked hard to make our event a success. I highly recommend this company!

Mike provided excellent and professional service both before and during our event. Booking was easy. Mike was friendly and my son and his friends had a wonderful evening. Mike’s stereo and projection equipment were awesome- perfect sound and picture. The popcorn machine was a huge hit with the kids! We highly recommend Mike and Backyard Box Office KC!!

Michael and his son Shawn (Sean?) did an incredible job start to finish for our Neighborhood screening of Jurassic Park! Michael made the process very simple and was a joy to work with! The picture quality was top notch and the sound system really wowed Neighbors-- fresh popped popcorn was also a wonderful addition to the evening! If you are needing a film screened and want service that will blow you out of the water, consider Backyard box Office!
