  They often have items in stock that the Welland store doesn't. But it is a treasure hunt... Very interestingly organized. Staff are excellent and amazingly know where everything is! I'm a little closer to the Welland store, but I prefer this one.

  I have shopped and had my car serviced here. Quality work. Fair price. The staff are friendly and respectful 🙏

  My younger brother lives in Port Colborne, this is his local Canadian Tire store. I live in Toronto. I wanted to send him some things, so I ordered online so he could go pick the things, already paid for. My brother is deaf. He is vulnerable and has anxiety because some people are very impatient, rude and mean to him. I called ahead to make sure things would be simple for him. I was directed on the phone to speak with John in Online Orders. I told John my younger brother would be taking a cab to get there and I wanted his experience of picking up his things to be nice and seamless. I also wanted my brother to be able to get store credit in case he didnt like any of what I chose for him. John was very compassionate and went out of his way to assure me that he would have the things ready for him at the Customer Service desk. I guess for most folks you need to go around to the back of the store, they have lockers, all sorts of things which might cause panic in my brother. I wanted to completely avoid any drama at all. John said he would endorse my brothers things to get store credit if he wanted to exchange things. I am very grateful for people like John. Most people, very sadly, have no patience, understanding for vulnerable people. They have no idea what they deal with on a daily basis. How dismissive and harsh even people in Customer Service can treat someone as vulnerable as my younger brother is ragingly unfair. I feel very proud when people like John at the Port Colborne store step up with great tender care to giving a helping hand so our disabled, unfortunate people can have as pleasant an experience as the regular guy does. We take so much for granted and people like John take nothing for granted. People like John make Canadian Tire and the world at larger a better place. Thank you. People matter more than things. Although really great things at a reasonable price is always wonderful too.

  Short summary: Great company, quality people, highly recomend Gideon's Source Electric.
  
  Longer review and why I think they are the best.
  
  I've used Gideon's Source Electric 3 times with 2 guys on 1 of the jobs, and 1 guy each on the other 2 jobs, I've also met the owner of the company, Charles.
  
  I have been impressed with the electricians each and everytime.
  
  1st job was a bad breaker, at a rental, i'd sent 2 other firms out they both said the fixed it and neither had. I went in with an outlet tester to confirm it wasn't fixed, called Gideon's Source next day, they came out the following day, traced it to the breakwr box and replaced the breaker. No fuss no muss, happy tennant!
  
  2nd job was on my personal home, wanted a breaker box generator hookup, had another electrical company in wichita in 2016 and after numerous calls where they told me they were figuring the quote and then told they were trying to see if there was a cheaper way to do it, then they were ordering the equipment, and 12 months later still had'nt seen them decided to call Gideon's, Charles setup a time to come look at what I needed, took the time to look at the generator I had and told me what I could possibly run with it, sent me the quote later that day, said he had a few weeks of work on the books apoligized and said he couldn't get to me until such and such a date. Ended up getting to me a day or 2 before what he said he would and had it all in and done in a few hrs , the electrician Charles sent out was very nice and his work in the breaker box was neat and easy to see, not just a jumbled mess.
  
  We have a loud cat that kept trying to get his attention and the electrician made sure to keep the doors closed as need to keep the cat where we wanted him and treated the cat well, not as a annoyance.
  
  3rd job, out at our cricket field pavilion (sport not bugs) we had some issues with overloaded circuits in our refreshment serving area that we plug in 4 crockpots when we do a pot luck or other event and are constantly tripping breakers. I called Gideon's again of course, charles quoted and at the appointed time 2 guys came out and split up the outlets on to their own breakers so the tripped breakers wouldn't happen again, he als suggested if we do bouncy houses and such to run a couple of lines through conduit mounted with outdoor plugs on their own circuits to balance the load across the box. Great Idea.
  
  So all in all Very Very Very happy with Gideon's Source and would highly recomend them for any job you need an electrician for. Quality business and quality people.
