This store has consistently had the most helpful and knowledgeable staff of any hardware store for the last 30 years I have been going there. My father told me that it was the best hardware store in town when I was a young boy and I see it's still true today.
Truest old school hardware store in the metro. Two floors, staff that know their stuff, and a great selection of obscure items you won't find in a big box store. I think if God needed a claw hammer, this is the place he'd go!
This might be the oldest hardware store in KC. They have a big store and a big selection of goods. If you like Dewalt or Milwaukee tools this is the place to go. We went in to buy a Milwaukee tool package that came with 2 batteries and a charger. They were sold out of the package deal but they put one together for us. We were so surprised at the customer service they offered. They could have said they were out and we couldn't get the package deal, but they didn't. They tool the time to take care of the customer. It's hard to find service like that a big box stores.
