“This review is many, many years overdue but I want to make sure I write it now. I have had problems with my right knee since an injury when I was about 13. I had had 2 surgeries on it before I came to see Dr. Vani and it was a mess. Dr. Vani and I went through all kinds of problems getting the knee to work correctly and then to just get it to hold on as long as possible before I needed a replacement because way too much damage had been done. My last surgery with him was in 2010 or 2011 because I moved out of state. In 2013 I had to have a partial replacement, I was 35. It would have been much earlier if it wasn't for Dr. Vani. My ortho in South Dakota said one of the last surgeries he tried was a "heroic measure" to try to save it as best as he could. That tells you right there what kind of doctor he is. Unfortunately I will be coming back to see him because my left knee is now doing badly but I don't want any other ortho touching it as long as Dr. Vani is willing and able. He is a wonderful surgeon....and he even remembered me when I went to see him when I moved back to town after 7 or 8 years. You don't find that often. I always tell people to go to him and I will as long as he's in practice.”
