“The rooms were very clean and roomy for our kids and us. We were very comfortable. It's about what you'd expect for the price. They were incredibly short-staffed(like everywhere else) but the gal at the front was wonderful and tried hard to help when she had time. Location was about what you'd expect for a smaller town. Easy to find. Not much to do. All-in-all, we'd likely stay here again.”

“Very friendly owner Kevin. If you respect his land he is very willing to help you. Had a pipe fitting break early in the morning he came over before I headed off to work and let me know about it, when I came back he said he fixed it and everything was good to go. This is on his own land where he lives so be considerate if you're going to be up late.”

“Decent little small town.. Stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading out to hike. Food was small town comfort type food, decent knowing that fact. The help was a little off that morning I feel, but that happens to us all. Building has done cool historical facts and decor.”

“Small, quiet RV park in a small town. I stayed here while working a project in McPherson. It’s a small gravel park with full hookups and services, including 50 amp hookup and on site laundry. Though we never needed it, there is a below ground storm shelter on site. The park is bordered by residential neighborhoods and farm field. If you’re doing a long term stay there is a gym which offers a 24 hour access card across the street (Inman Wellness Center). You will have to drive for most stuff, but that may be a decent trade for that small town feel this place gives you. There is no crime here that I noted. Many times I forgot to lock stuff away, and although I had the newest rig in the park, I always returned to find my stuff undisturbed. The cautionaries: this may be a Kansas thing, but there are a lot of spiders running around in the gravel. Most of what I saw were brown recluse or northern widows (a type of black widow). So I’d wear closed toe shoes and use lawn chair mats. Also this town offers amazing water pressure, so you must remember to use your pressure regulator. Edit: almost forgot to mention. While AT&T had very limited service here, it was offset by the park’s WiFi which I found fast enough to skype or stream Netflix.”

“The crew does well. They appreciate their residents as far as I know. And nm they don't answer downed ac calls. Paco hasn't come back with a fuse”

“McConnell AFB FamCamp I There are 10 pull through spaces in FamCamp I, full hookups, picnic table and fire pit at each pad. No problem with 30 amp hookup for the week we were here. There is a run/walking path, fishing ponds, lots of space and pavilions in this tucked away oasis near the Outdoor Rec Office. Occasionally a refueler comes or goes from the runway but I was surprised by how noise level was low. I enjoyed watching the big birds do touch and go. The facilities are easy to access. The Dining Facility is great and open to all. We loved it here during our week visiting family on Wichita. Lovely setting and peaceful, well maintained site.”

“After reading the reviews I found after I checked in that you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. I traveled with my family which consisted of three children and we stayed for the night but found the hotel to be quiet the rooms were nice The beds were a little hard but manageable. The pool unfortunately was already closed for the night but it looked clean as well as the hot tub. There was also in the atrium area next to that a pool table and several games that you could play. There was an enclosed breakfast area for the free breakfast that was available. The free breakfast was amazing as well as the customer service. The only small complaint I had was the fact that the room that I had was connected to an adjoining room, and apparently someone else had checked in way after we had gone to bed and I didn't realize it was an adjoining room and the door was not locked and they actually walked into our room and woke my son up. The gentleman quickly turned around and left but he did apologize before leaving. I do want to add that if you forgot a wall charger that they have built-in chargers on the lamps that were on top of where the television was and also where the lamps were between the two beds. Overall very satisfied with my stay and the next time that I go back to Ark City to visit family I will definitely booking a room there!”

“Clean, friendly, great value. With an older, inexpensive motel, you never know what you’re going to get, but I was very happy with the Harper motel. They got all the important things right. My rooms was clean, the A/C unit was pretty new and worked well, the plumbing all worked well. Sure, there was some cosmetic damage and outdated furnishings, but that’s why they’re not charging $100+/night. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I LOVE my home here! And thank goodness for Nick running to find a key to get me back in the house after I had locked my keys in there. Wonderful staff-super nice! And the homes? These are not your granddad's trailers. These are open floor plan, built well, great appliances-you name it. Love it!!”

“Stayed a couple of nights to visit local friends. All gravel. Quiet and clean. Staff was very accommodating to our 45’ class A. Primarily a contractor campground. Electric was a bit flaky. Would stay again for overnight. Very reasonable and they have a storm shelter.”

“We stayed at the campground in our camper for our granddaughter's birthday. Her and her family rented one of the new cabins. I was extremely impressed with all the campground had to offer. They have a nice big pool, putt putt, a store, on sight laundry showers and much much more. They also have a weekend menu. We ordered a breakfast which consisted of hash browns, eggs, bacon and a biscuit for around $5. Very reasonable. They brought our piping hot breakfast right to the campsite! Oh and also they had an ice cream social on Saturday night. I am considering having my own birthday weekend there! The staff is very friendly as well. Thank you for a super fun weekend!”

“Nice open sites with easy pull through access. Originally booked for a single night but extended to several after setting up and enjoying the quiet. Site 10 is spacious, level and with full hook-ups and for $20 a night (Passport America), a fantastic bargain. Met the owner who was friendly and eager for feedback on ways to make the park better. To be fair, he set it up right. Sure, the trees need to grow and mature but the water pressure was good, the power was clean, sewer connection threaded, roads gravel and spacing nice. No clue on the other reviews speaking of anyone being rude. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful and eager to please. I’ll come back here again in a heartbeat.”

“Awesome RV/Tent park. Electric, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi available. RV spots are pull through. We setup tent with power $10 a day, RVs are $15 a day. We were here in March, only had to fight the winds. Great place for families, play ground and river to explore. Very clean. Bathrooms are closed until April 1st. Small awesome town, only one convenience store on 160 so stop before you park.”

“My daughter and I needed a place to stay for 4 nights. We usually stay with family, but because of sickness running through the family we opted to stay in a hotel. We chose to stay here because the price was a lot more affordable than other hotels in the area. I came into town to help take my mom to some appointments. Since my mom is in a care home in Newton I needed to be close and Hesston is less than 10 minutes away! Before we even arrived at the hotel we received a call from Melissa asking when to anticipate our arrival. She said she would like to have our room thermometer turned on so the room would be warm for our arrival. This was so unexpected and I was so impressed!! It was quite cold out and to know we would be arriving into a warm and cozy room was quite outstanding. Once we arrived Melissa greeted us with a huge smile and a warm welcome. She was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. She checked us in promptly, which after an 8 hour drive on the road we were quite exhausted so I appreciated it. She was able to answer all my questions regarding breakfast, the hot tub and the pool. She also directed me to where the elevator and ice machine were located. She also gave me helpful advice on where to park with the location of our room. Later, when my daughter and I decided to go and relax in the hot tub, Melissa saw us and said if we wanted to just leave our pool towels outside our room she would be happy to pick them up later. Melissa went above and beyond ANYONE at ANY hotel has ever gone to make us feel welcome. She made us feel like we were in a 5 star hotel. The rooms at this hotel were nothing special, BUT they were clean and the beds were comfortable. They have everything you need in them. A refrigerator, a microwave, a desk, beds, a bathroom, well you get the idea. When I can go into a hotel and they are clean and they do not reek of cigarette smoke that makes me extremely happy. Being welcomed like we were at this hotel and paying less than $100 a night, made it even better. The breakfast was pretty darn good to me! They had a belgian waffle maker (who doesn't like waffles!), cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, juice and milk. That was provided every day. On weekends along with the above mentioned they had eggs, biscuits and gravy and sausage. It was amazing!! So if you cannot tell, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. We will definately be back. We come to Kansas quite often and I have found our new favorite place to stay. Thank you for such an amazing and perfect stay. Please tell Melissa thank you!! I wish I could comment on the other staff, but we really didn't interact with anyone else.”

“I have been ordering ground venison and the occasional venison loin from Underhill for over a year and they are GREAT!. The meat arrives on time by fedexp packed in dry ice (I order 20 lbs at a time). The quality is very good, the service is outstanding and Lynn is always pleasant, responsive and timely.”
