Waffle House

Staff is very friendly; unfortunately I didn't catch our waitress' so I can't mention her by name in this review, but she was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and the food was delicious with generous portions. The day we were there, they had a table "reserved" with 13 glasses of water for the U.S. servicemen that were killed in Kabul, and that was a nice tribute. I always try to make at least one stop at a WH while we're traveling, and I just wish we had them up here in Michigan. Then again, the restaurant is a "southern thing" that most northerners wouldn't appreciate.

I wasn’t crazy about stopping at a Waffle House but I read the reviews first and decided to give it a try. It was on our path so that made it convenient. Jewelyn was our server and she did a fabulous job and was very pleasant considering it was 7am but maybe she’s always pleasant that early. 😆 We had great conversations with several of the staff which reminds me, they were fully staffed. We haven’t been to a restaurant where this was the case in awhile. Clean restaurant, food was super fast and fantastic people...make sure to stop here when you’re in town.
