Milward Funeral Directors is a wonderful place to help you celebrate the life of your loved one and walk the last mile with them. Our family came here the day after my grandmother-in-law passed away suddenly. In such a difficult and stressful time, Dan Hanshel made things so easy for us. He was kind, professional, and so accommodating throughout the planning process. We knew we were in good hands.

But most notably, on the day of, the staffs were REALLY patient with our family. We hosted the funeral in a Vietnamese tradition (9am - 4pm); the table arrangement and everything else got reshuffled the day of even though the staffs had previously arranged them very neatly. My aunts and uncles from our family would come and ask Dan/his staffs for tables/chairs/random things -- it must have been very difficult since they had not planned for it all. We even brought in a 60 in TV to broadcast to Vietnam (the funeral homes have 6 monitors already, but our family were live streaming across countries) -- just goes to show how accommodating they all were. Plus, our family had made an assumption on what it meant to "transferred to the crematory" vs. when the cremation actually happens; and part of it was planned in our ceremony time. Dan and his staffs were so so so patient as we worked out a new plan that works with our customs and met us in the middle. We are very appreciative our your professionalism and services that made it an emotional / memorable celebration of our grandmother's life.

Other things I'd like just to note for others to be aware: there will be a handful of staffs there just to support your day besides the director. They hung around all day and were always attentive to whatever we needed. They'd greet your guests for you, help you with set up, and anything you may need. The initial planning / pricing discussion were also very straight forward; the package is pretty much what you need and there are a few elements you could take out/add-in, which made things very easy.

I'd say death is not what you look forward to planning for, but when you have to, I'd look to Milward Funeral Directors. Special thanks to Dan for being such a kind human being and so understanding of our circumstance!

This place is awesome. I met with Jeanne Sledd before my wife’s passing to make all the arrangements.
She made a rough time for me go very smooth. Everyone was so nice and professional. My wife couldn’t have made a better choice having her funeral here. Thank you.

When my husband passed unexpectedly, I had no idea where to start in planning his funeral. The first place we called for an appointment began telling us what clothes to bring for him to be buried in. That was not my first question, nor was it the first impression I needed.

When we called MILWARD Grace and Joey were so compassionate and helpful, we felt like it was family helping family. They saw us right away, and let me take my time answering all of my questions. Even though they have a list of things to cover, Joey allowed me to stop and get off topic and ask questions as much as I needed. Grace was nurturing through out getting us waters, Kleenex or anything we needed. Grace followed up on all details and helped with any special requests I had. I was simply amazed that I even made it through the planning process.

For the actual service things went just as smoothly. Anything I needed was immediately handled without fuss. Even the limo driver was attentive to my concerns. The facilities were clean and well maintained and the staff very polite. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about how Joey and Grace took care of my family and I in a time of need.

Even after the service they both have been simply awesome to work with.
