“The water system is on which was a surprise. The park wasn't full at all and many times my kids were the only ones in the water area. Playground equipment is scorching at times so the splash zone is a welcome relief. Ice cream trucks are in the parking lot on standby. The foothills and Ohio River view is a fantastic sight. The fire rescue training area is on the left as you pull into the park. There were police dogs, a firetruck and fully outfitted firemen that the kids got to see. Really a spectacular experience for the first day of summer.”

“I located an injured Cooper's Hawk in my yard. They provided me with clear instructions on how to capture and transport the injured hawk. My boys and I transported the hawk to Raptor Rehab where the staff was standing by. The staff and volunteers were super nice. Morgan gave my boys a tour of their facility. We'll be following up with the status of Hops (Cooper's Hawk) hopefully he can recover. Thanks for all that you do. It took one call to get the wheels in motion.”

“The new Nature Playground was magical. My kids played for 2 1/2 hours and we hardly knew the time had passed. It's a fun place for kids of any age. There is a huge sand pit for the younger ones and has a huge hill to play on, a disk swing, a tree to climb, and lots of logs and stumps to balance on and jump from for the older kids. Even my 12 year old enjoyed himself.”

“Amazing place to take pictures! Looking to take senior, homecoming or prom photos this is the place to do it. Beautiful well kept grounds, amazing scenary for backdrops. Completely open to the public. The various scenes are scattered about to give great views and they don't conflict with each other.”

“Checked out the Northern area a few weeks back for the first time. Different from the other side. All around the dogs and I enjoyed our adventure. Highly recommend coming for a stroll, dog training, hunting, or whatever else tickles your fancy during an outing. Griffith Woods has been our go to spot for years as it's local and convenient. Really appreciate having land nearby like this.”

“This is a nice little park and a great place just to stop by and get away from it all. It seems to be relatively unused and perhaps not very well known. Yes there are bigger parks in the area and many of those are better equipped but as I said it's just a really nice place to eat your lunch, catch both your breath, say a quick prayer and then jump back into life! As Always, Enjoy!”

“We stayed here in December 2020 and January 2021 to go to "Lights Under Louisville" and "Winter Woods." This a great place to bring your family. Our kids had so much to do here, that this campground could easily BE the destination. The staff here was wonderful! Don't miss the Native American dwellings, they make for a cool adventure. We will definitely be staying again!”

“This is one of my favorite parks to run. Very clean and well kept. Soccer fields are top notch and maintained well. The restroom is usually clean which is a huge plus compared to other park restrooms I’ve observed. The paths are beautiful and provides a wonderful experience whether you’re running, walking, or taking your dog for a walk.”

“It's 3 times the fun for the family and a great price! They have a food truck and they take cash/card. Just know that if the ground is wet than the parking lot gets muddy. Only half of the lot may be open. Make sure to wear shoes that have good traction so it will be easier to walk in the mud.”

“Some of the most accessible trail running routes in Lexington. Mountain biking is beginner, intermediate at most. Be careful if it’s rained recently, the back trails are wet. Accessible bathrooms, plenty of walking path, and beautiful trees.”

“Absolutely love this park!! Multiple things for kids to do, two separate large playgrounds, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, huge field to run and play and my favorite is the CREEK!!! It's a good stretch and it's wide, majority of it is shallow and flat. There are a few spots that are rocky and a little deeper but the water is pretty clear and surprising isn't filled with litter! Def recommend checking it out!”

“Nice quiet park at the end of a culdesac. Features include a swing set, playground, basketball half-court, and large open grass areas. Would be improved with the addition of seating (benches, picnic tables, or both).”
