“When I was a kid in the 80s there was a real park there with a swing set two slides and some monkey bars they replaced all the park stuff with cheap plastic equipment and people just stopped going there because it wasn’t any fun anymore but I have tons of memories and you can’t replace those”

“Great park for running. Took off from the top. I probably should have looked at the trail map before taking off. I made several wrong turns. Ended up on a busy boulevard. But luckily I was able to find the trail and made it back to my car. Super hilly in spots. It was sunny and 65 degrees while I ran. Didnt see all of the park due to my detour. But still a great run”

“It's cute, small and usually not busy. It's a great little park for children under 6 or 7, although there's regularly older kids playing there. Lots of open green space, not many trees though as it's right at the elementary school and there's a baseball field. Basketball hoop, and a walking path too.”

“Attended Regeneration Fair with the grandchildren today. What a beautiful place. The kids had a blast making flowers, making bug costumes, painting pumpkins, face painting, balloon animals, and so much more. They loved seeing the live exhibits of birds of prey, chickens, mealworms, bees, and bugs from Idlewild too! There was a butterfly exhibit tent. With food and drinks, it was a wonderful afternoon. The grandkids stayed for the Bug Ball afterwards and had an awesome time. I would highly recommend this annual event.”

“I love the location of this park. It's very close to our home, which makes it a convenient place to stop when my kids need to get their energy out. It isn't a big park, but that isn't a big deal. It is surrounded by a nice neighborhood, so you'll see lots of neighborhood kids hanging out.”

“Food was fresh. We went in and ordered on the kiosk, so there was no wait to order. Bathroom floors were slick like they may have cleaned the kitchen floor and used the same greasy water in the bathroom. The only food complaint is with my caramel macchiato. The cup was only about 3/4 full and didn't taste like any I've had in the past. It tasted like black coffee. Since the food was fine, I gave it a 4.”

“This park is a very family oriented place. There is plenty of space to do whatever your family or mate would like to do. Rent bikes, different types to chose ( please remember to wear a helmet). They have a concert series at the Big Four bridge during the summer. Concert venues come and go all year long. There's a playground for the kiddies and also a water playground. The great lawn is perfect for sitting and enjoying the day, flying a kite, fishing. Sports or whatever you like to do in a big open area. So enjoy and remember to be safe and have fun. Enjoy folks,my family and I sure do.”

“A staple for every Newportian. Kids love climbing the rock wall. Ducks and geese are typically annoying and aggressive but it's to be expected. If you have your fishing license it's great fun to toss a line in the river and what you catch is anyone's guess! The view is spectacular. The atmosphere serene. I don't think I will ever grow too old for or tired if James Taylor Park.”
