“Such a great asset for Brandenburg. Play areas for children. Campsites for RVs. Walking trail at Buttermilk Falls or follow the sidewalk along the river. Boat ramps for those utilizing the Ohio River. There are usually concerts scheduled at the amphitheater spring, summer and fall. Recently, the Meade County Bicentennial was held here”

“One of the single best campgrounds we’ve been to in America. Large sites with water and electric, easy to park and get set down. The playground was nice and the restrooms were clean and well built. Will absolutely come again. Awesome side note: this place is almost equidistant to all the major distilleries on the bourbon trail!”

“Owners and staff were great to work with! Facilities are astounding! Attended a work function here. It was amazing! I hope to go back on personal business. Kayaks and canoes available, yard games, natural setting, nice restroom facilities w/showers, giant fire pit and pickle ball court, adult sized mesh swing by the lake, trail, grills, picnic tables ... And I didn't even get to the RVs yet! Great place for corporate events and team building!”

“I came for a vacation spent with my family, first time to Kentucky & this was the first thing I wanted to visit. The monuments were breathtaking & humbling.. the minds behind planning behind this tribute was something to see, It brought back so many memories, feelings for all who lost their lives that day, but also to all that went to war over the attack on our United States of America. “United We Stand “It’s definitely a must see!”

“Nice place to go and be outside with the family. Places to hike and fish. Areas to have a picnic too. Most of the animals are outside, but there is a few things inside as well. Really nice place to go and relax for a few hours or you could even make a day of it.”

“Beautiful park with rustic playground, gazebos, pond, hiking and enclosed dog park. My kids love playing here and sense it's secluded there's not much traffic and very far from main roads so it's much safer for kids to be kids. It has a picnic table and benches next to the playground that are great to bring lunch and a hiking trail right beside the playground. So when we get tired of the playground and want to get messy in nature we take a hike. It's not to hilly for my 3yr old either.”

“We always have our U8 soccer practice out here and it's always well maintained and plenty of open space. Only downfall is they only have one pavilion and it's opposite the playgrounds for the kids. Cannot remember if there is a grill there or but if there isn't they need one. As for improvements just add a few more pavilions with grills and move them closer to the play grounds and basketball courts and I'm all in. Just gotta make it happen captain some how 😂.”

“Everything was explained to use throughly. All questions were answered. Kindness, caring and consideration was shown to us by Mr. Satterly and Mrs. Peach. In a difficult situation they made everything as easy for us as possible.”

“This is a fabulous hike. It's marked rugged but I would call it moderate. It's a bit confusing. There's a leg there's a straight shot perhaps the 1.5 MI marked on the sign. Then at the Louisville Loop, it connects to what might be another 1.5 MI that does circle around. There's sections on the circle that are confusing and branch off to areas of uncertain destination.”

“I love this park! Very quiet usually and beautiful at all times of the day, there are hundreds of flowers and lots of wildlife. Dogs MUST be on leash… *unless they are super super friendly and nobody else is around.* 🥰 Very large fields for soccer or football, a basketball hoop, and river-water access all along the trail. My puppy has loved it so far. Watch out for ticks & pick up your litter! 🗑 there are trash cans at the end/middle of the trail near a bench that sits beside the river.”

“I feel I have to give this place a 5 Star to correct others giving this place an unfair 1 Star. This is a great little campground. I love the fact it is a true campground not a place full of people living here year round. The grounds are kept very nice and tidy. The pond is a nice place to go for a walk with the dogs and cast a fishing rod. There is a small dated playground but at least it is somewhere for the kids to play. The desk person was extremely nice as was the person who escorted us to the campsite. The sites are fairly level and rain drainage is great considering it has been raining for days there are no puddles to deal with. The laundry room was clean and had 5 washers and very fast drying vintage dryers. The bathhouse was extremely clean and in good working order. The key elements to a campground were met: clean, safe, level, good power, good water pressure, clean laundry room, clean bathhouse and a VERY reasonable price for water/electric. Now the downside is the train. It is about 50 yards from our site (we were 1 of the closest sites). However, we use the fan all night and keep the windows closed, so it drowns out the noise. But if you are a light sleeper or in a pop up/canvas sided camper you may have issues. The highway is close as well so you do hear the highway but only when outside walking around. For us that is a non issue. It is easy on and off the highway and gas stations nearby which makes it a great stop over place for a few days to visit the area and the Ark. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.”

“I love taking my kids here to play on the playground when it was there. I know they're renovating it but it seems like it's taking forever and now the summer is almost over and we've not been able to have our weekly picnics at the park. I'm sure it will be worth the wait though. The fair for the last couple years has been the best they've ever had. Last summers fair was when it stormed very bad (pretty sure there was a tornado) and we all had to take cover into the pavilion and bathrooms...all ab 100 or more of us men women and kids huddled together for safety. It was a night to remember forever lol. The workers there were professional in getting everyone to safety and themselves. My kids also love the skate park and running up and down the ramps and I love walking the trail.”

“Best state park for sports activities such as swimming, soccer, indoor sports like table tennis, badminton, chess and many more. You can do walks and follow trails and even walk your dog in this park. Family friendly and good for kids to swim and visit especially during summer.”

“Brown Foreman Ampitheater is a secluded little spot sitting behind a hill by the river that overlooks the Ohio. There is stone bench seating and a splendid view! Many local events are home to this ampitheater which is vastly underrated. If you need a quiet spot to sit and think or want to check out a local venue here... Or even rent a bike and go for a scenic ride this spot is one of a kind.”

“Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. A great place for adding culture and history to any vacation in the area. Beautiful grounds to explore, delicious food to enjoy and tours that are all worth while. The staff is knowledgeable and are all required to do their own research on the shakers using journals kept by the shakers themselves. Super cool!”
