“Love this part of Parklands. This park was designed for the whole family and all walks of life. The Silo center is awesome. A short winding walk to stop outer ring is worth your time. It's a bit windy on the top and it is definitely a wonderful view of your local Kentucky country side. The parking lot is ample for plenty of cars. The area also has a barn for rent, a long covered picnic area which is reported to be an animal feeding trough. The bathrooms I believe are a total of four. The water is shut off during winter/freezing temperatures months. This is located a few short miles from the beginning of the Parklands on Bardstown road.”

“I enjoyed hiking here, there are mostly easy trails, although the climb up the hill may be more difficult for some. It's a quiet place and perfect for a quick getaway. My favorite part was the meadow. Many squirrels, chipmunks and birds. 🙂”

The park is clean with a nice bathroom with running water and even a shower, but what is up with all the camping spots with electric and water. For such a small park, there must have been 100 hook up tightly packed. I can't imagine what goes on at this park. Anyway, small town mysterious things....maybe I would be amazed?”

I0 miles south is Carrollton with a Walmart, Kroger grocery store and several restaurants. Also, can't say enough nice things about Judy and her husband. The museum has some amazing artifacts showcased and a nice little gift shop with some neat gifts, including some recipe books. “Excellent stay! Thank you Denice for all your help! Super friendly staff! Location Location Location! Plus a Wonderful Lake and Fishing was Fun! Grounds kept clean and manicured, and the price was reasonable. Cons: 1 Odd number sites water and electricity hook ups are shared so they are on front side. Bring electrical and water extensions, 2 No picnic tables and fire pits at your site, there is a huge firepit near the lake, very nice, few picnic tables near the lake but they go fast. We Will Be Back!”
