“Like to give a HUGE "thumbs up" to Mia Thacker at the Oak Park Community office re my call about the cluster of major pot holes at the south entrance ramp to 31W-----near Maple Ridge.....Wasn't sure if those holes (repair) fell in the Knox Hill bailiwick, but Mia said she would make sure the repair request got to "the right place. Thanks Mia, for keeping your promise-----"them there" holes been filled/patched over. Gold star to YOU (Mia) and Knox Hills as a whole.”

Anderson County Parks & Rec

“Worth the drive from Frankfort, this quiet park has something for every member of the family; tree lined walking trails, athletic fields, a large playground with plenty of benches for parents and play zones for kids of all ages. The adjacent public pavilion makes this a great place for a quick picnic and play session. New swings installed this season (summer 2021).”

Cincinnati South Rose Garden

Address: 3315 US-25, Dry Ridge, KY 41035, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“** This is the same place as Cincinnati south, not sure why 2 listings so I will copy my review for the same place just a slightly different name** This is a great little campground. I love the fact it is a true campground not a place full of people living here year round. The grounds are kept very nice and tidy. The pond is a nice place to go for a walk with the dogs and cast a fishing rod. There is a small dated playground but at least it is somewhere for the kids to play. The desk person was extremely nice as was the person who escorted us to the campsite. The sites are fairly level and rain drainage is great considering it has been raining for days there are no puddles to deal with. The laundry room was clean and had 5 washers and very fast drying vintage dryers. The bathhouse was extremely clean and in good working order. The key elements to a campground were met: clean, safe, level, good power, good water pressure, clean laundry room, clean bathhouse and a VERY reasonable price for water/electric. Now the downside is the train. It is about 50 yards from our site (we were 1 of the closest sites). However, we use the fan all night and keep the windows closed, so it drowns out the noise. But if you are a light sleeper or in a pop up/canvas sided camper you may have issues. The highway is close as well so you do hear the highway but only when outside walking around. For us that is a non issue. It is easy on and off the highway and gas stations nearby which makes it a great stop over place for a few days to visit the area and the Ark. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.”

Three Springs Campground

Campground Lodging Park

“We spent the past few days at Three Springs Campground when we visited the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, and we had a great time. We are a family of six so we rented one of their cabins, Mac’s Place. The kids loved it. It had plenty of room and was well-equipped. We bought two bundles of firewood, which they delivered to us the first evening. The staff is friendly. The main thing for my wife was that the bathrooms were clean, which was good. They are also adding new features - a playground and dog park, which will be a good addition. I would recommend this campground if you are going to be visiting the Ark Encounter. It is only a 10-15 minute drive from there. Thanks to Rachel and Chris for being great hosts.”

“This place was absolutely awesome - we got there and instantly were met with a smile and were taken to our camper. We stayed in the Mallard and it was perfect for us. There were chairs and a picnic table at our site along with a firepit. The owners were out to see us and make sure everything was okay within an hour or so and were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The campers that were there we so friendly and anytime anyone passed in front of your camper, they didn't hesitate to stop and welcome you into the campground and invite you to all the planned events that took place our weekend. We went swimming in the pool and soaked in the hot tubs with so many social people, within the first four hours people were calling us by name and we had met a large portion of campers. It was awesome. There were nightly campfires set up and you could go visit with everyone and hang out - they had a pot luck dinner on Saturday that was so organized and ran so smoothly- we are contemplating purchasing a camper and becoming seasonal members.”

Campground Park Lodging

“This place is a great place to camp, relax, and enjoy life. The campgrounds are clean and as tidy as nature allows. The park area is gorgeous with its landscaping, has plenty of activities, and shelter. Our host Steve made the stay of my group a joy and we are grateful for his service and care. The campsites themselves are quite private and are sheltered under the canopy of trees which was welcome refuge from the summer sun. The creek nearby was clear and easy flowing during our stay. The campsite we stayed at had a trashcan, grill, and table which our group was quite grateful for. I want to make special note that the sites are clean as can be and the group was thoroughly impressed. Aside from any games you brought yourself there were activities on site near the main shelter. The sun during our stay was prohibitively intense, however, our group will be returning during a milder time to enjoy what is offered. There are also trails and our group enjoyed a walk amidst a field of wildflowers as the sun was setting. I and members of my group recommend this location for an easy going camping experience. The tidiness of the campground, the availability of water, and activities make this a great retreat. Many thanks to Steve for the experience.”
