From the door greet to the exit everything was exceptional. We originally sat outside but then it started raining so the server/hostess moved us to the chefs table. The Chef/owner Eric Cook was awesome! He had the best energy and was very interactive with us. The food was spectacular and he very much acknowledged my bday. He gifted us a ribeye and dessert with a candle!! Thank you!!
Best shrimp and grits I've ever had and I have visited Georgia many times with excellent shrimp and grits. The gumbo soup was also tops. My wife had chicken and dumplings. Very good food. The service was very good and the place looks great. Five stars deserved.
I came to Gris Gris for dinner tonight. I had the Oyster BLT for an appetizer. It was amazing. For entree, I chose the 14 oz Ribeye with mashed potatoes and the steak sauce. Again, it was amazing. The steak melts in your mouth. Each bite was better than the one before. I initially ate the steak without the sauce and it was great. When I added the sauce and took a bite of the steak, mashed potatoes and sauce all at once, the combination was delicious. I was tempted to have desert but opted to hold off because the appetizer and entree were so deliciously filling. Great service. Attentive staff. I am definitely eating here again!
Our first time here and it did not disappoint. I started with the gumbo and it was fabulous with its dark roux base. I had the oyster po'boy which was perfection a tiger oysters were crisp yet juicy. This is a must try if you're ever in NOLA!
