“If you want your child to become a true English equestrian rider and learn from 2 of the most dedicated horse women on the Northshore look no further! This facility's only interest is to make sure that horse and rider are a good fit and are safe. The camps are not about arts and crafts, swimming, or watching videos just to fill camp time. The children are not on the horse for just an hour. Thare there to learn how to ride and take care of that horse. There is constant supervision and all riders are required to wear helmets and paddock boots. If you don't own them they do loan the student the gear. The facility is maintained by only these 2 ladies and each horse has a unique bond with them. There is over 40 years of experience between these ladies as it shows with the countless Champion Ribbons that they have each earned in competition. This facility has taken my 13 year old from this insecure, non focused, self doubting teenager, to a secure, responsible young lady! So much so that at her first Horse Show on April 8, 2017 she won a Champion Ribbon herself. If you are not serious about horses then maybe this is not the place for you. I personally take GREAT offense to Mr. Yost's pompous review as this facility has truly change my child's life for the better and in turn makes me a better parent! Thank you.”

“What an outstanding experience! Having grown up only catching fish too small to eat I wanted my sons to have a better experience. And boy did we! Drum, sheephead, redfish and catfish! Captain Joel is awesome! He's very knowledgeable and got us rookies catching fish in no time. HIGHLY recommend and look forward to getting back out there. Thank you Joel for our not to be forgotten outing.”

“Tavia is like the best barn ever!!! The riding instructors (Ms. Raelin and Dr. Randy) are REALLY good at teaching, they really help you learn a lot! At Tavia I have made so many new best friends! Everybody at the barn is super nice and friendly and is always trying to make you feel at home. I have been riding here for I think 2 years and I have already learned SO many new things! Like learning how to care for a horse, by feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, loving them, and treating them properly. On the weekends we stay all day and help the younger kids out by helping them tack up and stuff. Every time I go riding I ride this amazing horse named Norman, he has taught me so much. He is just like all of the other school horses that could also teach you so much!!!Tavia is an awesome barn, I would NEVER leave to go to another barn. Thats because its a great barn!! :)”

“This is truly a fantastic company staffed by some great people. I ended up traveling with them after the Marriott Fairfield in Kenner overbooked the hotel, so I had no place to stay. UFTS stepped in to clean up Marriott's mess. Not only did they constantly drive back and forth to every hotel to get people to their backup rooms, they frantically called every hotel within 45 minutes looking for availability after Marriott wanted to send me all the way to Baton Rouge. Thanks to them, I found a room, got some sleep, and made it back to the airport in time (despite a freeway closure on I-10). Highly, highly recommend.”

“What an AWESOME experience! Definitely one of our favorite memories from our trip to New Orleans! We saw lots of egrets, turtles, and best of all lots of gators!! It was amazing! Xander was an excellent, fun, and friendly tour guide and really knew his stuff. It was also neat to see the houses of the people who live off of the swamp and to hear a little about their lifestyle and culture. My kids absolutely loved it when the boat got up to high speeds! They had a blast!! I will say, I think the tour could have been just fine perhaps 15–30 minutes shorter, as my little kids' attention spans and hungry tummies started making them a little restless after about an hour and a half of the tour, but for older participants, I'm sure that's not as much of a problem. I would recommend bringing a jacket in case it gets a little chilly. Overall, an incredible and memorable experience with no regrets! Don't pass this one up!”

“I’ve been on a few guided trips for different things, this trip by far was one of the best. Guides, Deck hands and Owner all work with you hand in hand to make you have the best time in the swamps. First night water conditions were not great, but the second and 3rd night they found us some great clear water in a different location and let me tell ya it paid of doing the 3 day trip instead of only booking one day. We knocked off plenty of species on our bucket lists👌 Get with Cody at Extreme Bowfishing if you wanna have one of the best experiences of your life and make some great friends.”

“What a great place to stop for a short break. Beautiful grounds. Clean restrooms. Staff was nice in the Welcome Center. I was able to get a state map and visitor magazine. I'll be back again, since it is a 35 minute drive, to enjoy a day off to read and walk the grounds.”

“Thank you!! What an awesome time we had!! While visiting friends in LA, they suggested we charter a boat for a fishing trip! I love the water so I expected to have a good time riding in the boat, but never expected to have the "greatest boat ride and fishing trip" of my life!! It was amazing, the crew was very knowledgeable - not just about fishing, but the area's swamps and wildlife. Hopefully they had as great a time with us as we had with them. We feel we made friends for life and certainly made memories that will last forever 😆. We're planning another trip this fall - can't wait to see you all again!!”

“This review is for the Sunset tour. First, you check in at Bayou Adventure. There you sign a waiver and get to pick a snack and drink. They will give you directions to make your way down the road a few miles where you start your tour. Ample parking. The tour itself started around 5:30. It was a very leisurely trip down Cane Bayou to the lake. This part of the trip is not strenuous at all, so no need to worry if your not the best kayaker or out of shape. The kayaks have a spot to store a bag and a small waterproof box for phones/wallets. We brought a backpack with water and snacks. We had towels in the car. If I could do anything different, I would bring bug spray in the kayak. We had left it in the car, but it would help the trip back in the dark. Lots and lots of mosquitos Once you get to the lake, you get to relax for 30-45 min and watch the sunset. On the way back, the guide will give you a headlight as you will be paddling back in the dark. This is an entirely different experience. Here you may get to see some other wildlife (possums, owls, etc...) if you catch them at the right time with your light. While I didn’t see alligators, some people in our did see alligators. Overall, this was an incredible experience! I would highly recommend it.”

“We arrived Friday afternoon to the lodge our instructions to get into our room we’re texted to us by Colby. We were put up in a spacious 3 bedroom 3 bathroom upstairs space. Everything was very clean and tidy! The fridge was stocked with waters, and sodas, there were snacks and candy bars also for us to eat whenever we wanted. The food was AMAZING first nights dinner was a huge piece of lightly blackened redfish with shrimp and crawfish ettoufee. The next morning breakfast was made for us before the charter left at 7am. We hit our slot on redfish and also hit some large catfish and black drum. Once arriving back to the lodge lunch was waiting for us while our guide filleted all of our fish. Lunch was a large beef sandwich on the most delicious French bread. We didn’t have a car on-site so our captain Colby helped us by going to grab us some drinks we could enjoy in our lodge. They also packed and shipped back all of our caught fish to our house! Our last dinner was delicious chicken and sausage gumbo. I can’t rave enough about this place. Whether you are a large group or small you’re totally taken care of from start to finish. We will definitely be back!!”

“So, I happen to be close to the visitor center and was excited to find out about local sites, but to my surprise it was not open at 1pm on a Wednesday! Google says it should be open until 4:30?! I called and left a message as well. If they return my call in a timely manner then I will consider giving a higher rating. Update: they returned my call the next day and explained two of their workers were out with Covid. I updated the star rating.”

“This was a lovely stop along the I-10 corridor! Enjoy the clean restrooms and the hospitable staff as you take in the heart pine floors with the beautiful cedar trim in an historic southern home. The 310 year old oaks are incredible to see. What a gem of a place to stop and rest from the traffic of I-10!”

“Went out on the waters with EJ on October 25th 2021, although the Reds weren’t biting that day I was able to catch one as well as a very large Flathead catfish to wrap the day up! Getting to see gators up close as they swam around us was an awesome bonus! I recommend anyone interested in a trip with EJ you won’t be disappointed!”

“Another great trip to Bayou Log Cabins. Clay always goes above and beyond to make his guests welcome and comfortable. Live shrimp on site , great fishing right off the docks in front of the cabins. Great facilities to relax and also clean and cook your catch. Short runs to great brackish marsh and saltwater fishing. Highly recommend !!!!”

“This could be a novel considering everything Kathy, my wife and I went through getting this honeymoon planned this year, but I’ll make it short and sweet. Plenty of hurdles presented themselves and Kathy was right there with us the whole way. She set up an incredible honeymoon for us at a beautiful resort and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. I will always get with Kathy for all my traveling from here on out. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon an experience that will be in our fondest of memories for the rest of our lives. You’re top notch.”
