(November 15, 2018, 8:58 am)This is one of my favorite spots in MD. I really appreciate these folks and the kindness they showed my autistic son. The beech was very safe for him as the small waves continually push you back to shore. Water not too deep, caping was not cramped and they had electricity (I didn't use it).
Fossil hunting and walking along the shore was exiting as well as watching wildlife.
(September 19, 2018, 10:20 am)We stayed in the cabin with AC. There were 6 of us that stayed. It was a bit much having to bring our own pots, pans, and such. However, I would rather eat off our own... The beach was a short walk. It was nice to be able to go down to the beach for a while and come back up to the cabin if needed (13 month old and 4 year old). The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back next year!

(June 19, 2018, 11:19 am)The place is awesome with great beach access and scenery. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the price you pay for what you get. The cabin (cabin #5) we were in was an open cabin with bathroom w/ hot water, fans, full kitchen, and outlets.

To answer the question regarding Matoaka Beach Cabins: I've been taking daytrips to that property for decades, but only rented a cabin once. They are primitive, but they do have running water, toilet, shower, and electricity. You'll need to bring your own linens. The beach is lovely, but is a typical bay beach, and not like an ocean beach.
