First Watch - Columbia

  I've gone the First Watch in Laurel several times but this was my first time going to the Columbia location since they've opened. My friend and I went on New Year's Day about 30 min before they closed. It was crowded but we were able to sit right away because they were seats open at the community table. So we sat next to people we didn't know but it was really nice. The service was a little slow due to the amount of people in the restaurant. Also we had to ask for a few items that should have already been on the table. However our server Jasmine was really nice and helpful. The food was great as usual. I really enjoyed my experience and I love the idea of having a community table. It's a cool way to meet new people while you're having a great meal.

  Finally got a chance to try this breakfast/lunch addition to the Dobbin Road area. It was midweek, around 11 a.m., so I was surprised to see the center's parking lot so full, with numerous people walking in the same direction, towards First Watch. I began to wonder what they were giving away! The place was packed, with a 20-minute wait in the inside seating area. The time went fast while I read the very tempting and varied menu, focused on fresh, seasonal and wholesome fare. I was slightly annoyed to have to download a phone app to keep track of my place on the waiting list, but It turned out to be helpful, and so accurate that my number reached the top at the same time the host came over to seat me. Impressive.
  Service was prompt and friendly. I boringly ordered the Traditional Breakfast with two fresh, cage-free eggs, seasoned potatoes, thick whole grain artisan toast with house preserves (Gudi's gluten free bread is an upgrade option), and I chose the smoked ham as my meat option. The very appealing meal appeared without too much of a wait and everything was quite good except that I'd ordered soft scrambled eggs and mine were definitely not soft. The accommodating waitress apologized and quickly returned with freshly made, very tasty, softly cooked eggs. They taste so much better that way.
  Everything else was a pleasure as well. Crispy potatoes, ample, tasty ham, totally satisfying, thick flavorful toast with preserves.
  Can't find my receipt, but believe this meal was $9.49, a real value for the quality/quantity of the food.
  No wonder the place has quickly become a local favorite - I plan to visit regularly.

  This place was a surprise. I wasn't all that excited to go but glad I got. The food here was really good. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Definitely will go back.

  This is one of my wife's favorite place and it's now in Columbia, MD. She is in heaven. The food is very good and the service has always been exceptional (not sure its because all the wait staff seems to know my wife!). They have an app that allows you to place your name on their seating list, that is truly a life saver, otherwise be ready to wait a bit. Well worth it!!

  Pretty darn good, I have absolutely no complaints. Our server was very kind and anticipated our needs. The order was placed correctly, food came out promptly and was so delicious! Everyone should definitely come here for breakfast. The avocado toast was amazing, they're not stingy with the avocado, AT ALL. ????????
