“I visited 2 months ago before my trip to LA and I got my hair dyed from a light brown to a blonde. My hairdresser was Alex and he did an amazing job. I normally don’t write reviews but going blonde was scary for me, but he did so well! My hair is still healthier than I thought it would be and he was very detail-oriented when doing my coloring and haircut. My boyfriend also enjoyed his haircut. I am planning to come back! : )”

Soft background music adds to the relaxing oasis. The massage chairs feel fantastic. My nail technician, Nikki was outstanding. She was friendly and kind. It took 4 hours to get me from a almost black hair color to a lighter tone, moreover my hair was long, thick and straight and he gave me the exact layers and color I was asking for. “I have been a customer at this Haircuttery for about 10 years. This positive review is long overdue. I have a short pixie cut and I get my eyebrows done there as well, so I am in the store every 3 weeks. Each time I enter, I am greeted by a friendly stylist at the front desk. My personal stylist is Reyna and she is absolutely fabulous. She helped me find the perfect haircut for me and has kept it up. She takes her time when waxing my eyebrows and I no longer have skin irritation after waxing, which was a problem at other places. I've stopped coloring my hair and embraced the salt and pepper look, but when I did do color, Reyna always patiently helped me choose a good color. The salon is clean and well-kept and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for an appointment. I know a lot of people (me too!) go to Haircuttery b/c it's affordable, but for me, the service I get there is as good as any higher priced salon that I've been to. I truly appreciate the awesome women that make going to this salon a positive experience! Thank you-”

“I have been going to Paul Mitchell for about 2 years. I would HIGHLY recommend their services! The services I receive (usually color, highlights, cut, shampoo, and blow dry) are very affordable in comparison to other salons. I normally buy some of their product on every visit too (their shampoo/conditioner is truly the best). My total cost (including a generous 20% tip) is usually between $120-140. You cannot go anywhere else and get that type of great service for that price. I have always been happy with the students. I have never had a "bad" one. They don't allow it, as their line leaders always check throughout the process to make sure you are happy. If you are not, the line leaders fix it on the spot. The only downside is the amount of time you spend there. Since they are students, and have to have their work checked, you will spend between 3-5 hours if you are getting the same type of service I get. For the amount of money I save, the extra time I spend there is worth it. I usually schedule my appointments for a Saturday morning when I don't have any other commitments. That way I am not worried about being rushed for time. If you are looking for an affordable salon that offers excellent services, product, and customer service, then the Paul Mitchell School in Jessup should be your first choice! :)”
