“We have an 8 year old cat with mast cell tumors and he is alive because of the medical care and knowledge of those at VRA. He's hanging strong after four years of care. UPDATE. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge peacefully in April 2018. Our shelter rescue 10 month old puppy was diagnosed with the kidneys of a 13 year old dog. We took her to VRA where she spent 10 days on fluids and meds. She was cared for by a team of caring, smart and wonderful doctors and staff. Even though we had only had her for less than a week we were allowed to visit her every day. To this day every time we take her for follow up visits everyone who cared for her two years ago comes out to see her and she loves them all. She just turned 4 years old in October. Something that would have not been possible without the help of the VRA staff and others along the way. Yes, it's expensive, but if you can give your dog or cat the medical expertise of VRA it's worth it. The only thing I regret is that they are not closer to where we live but it's worth the trip.”
