We hired GBC for our master bathroom remodeling. I would give 4.5 stars but that option is not available. Overall the end result is very good, but not perfect. Likewise, the overall experience was very good but not perfect. I would definitely hire them again, but there are things to keep in mind:

    The positives:
    - They are very client-centered and will do everything to make sure you are happy with the work. There were a number of issues due to human error that were promptly rectified. There were also design changes (per our request) that were accommodated on the fly.
    - They are very professional: They respected COVID-19 protocols and were very respectful and mindful. They cleaned up after themselves and were timely. They coordinated constantly with the building manager for access and reservation of the freight elevator.
    - The quality of work is very good. Overall the finishing on the tiles/grout and paint is very good (although there are some very minor imperfections that we let slide).

    The negatives:
    - They were not very detail-oriented, and we had to do a lot of the thinking ourselves, which is fine for us, but don't have the expectation that the designer/project manager will do all the work. Again, I'm talking about details here, not the important design/construction aspects which they were very good at figuring out, especially given that we're in a high rise condo with restrictions to the type of work/construction that we can do.
Some of the detail we had to think through ourselves includes:
    - The specific layout for the floor tiles (marble style with the veins). They would have installed the tiles randomly, but we had a specific design and had to lay down the tiles in a pattern ourselves, then they followed the pattern we gave them (took us many hours to do this, but we couldn't risk them doing a random pattern that we wouldn't like).
    - The color of the schluters. They didn't think of using a white Schluter on white tiles and said the standard is to use a metal one..we did our research and made them use white schluters and it turned out to be the right choice.
    - How to hide the pipes after deciding to use a floating vanity
    - How to reduce the amount of light that escapes from the barn door (They had to install an extra piece of wood to reinforce the wall before installing the barn door rail which created a bigger than anticipated gap between the door and the wall)
    - They didn't really do a detailed inspection after completing each task, and we had to double check ourselves and point out mistakes or untidy finishes (everything was promptly corrected so no big deal).
    - We absolutely hated the contractor they used for the shower glass...very unprofessional and a pain to deal with (they had to come back 4 times to fix their own mistakes).

Overall, we are very happy with the finished product and we do owe a special thanks to Pedro, the designer, for being patient with us and bringing our vision to life. Alex, the main worker, for doing an overall great job and asking for our opinion/approval before and after each task and Tony, the project manager, for going the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction.

I LOVE our new bathrooms! GBC did a fantastic job, from start to finish. Louisa sat with me to help me pore over toilet reviews and helped choose finishes. Tony regularly checked in with me to see that I was happy with how the work progressed. Rodolpho communicated with me throughout each day and continually asked my opinion about decisions that needed to be made.

The absolute rockstar of the group, though, is David. My tile looks amazing! The knowledge and attention to detail in GBC’s tile-setter was so obvious, I had to ask how long he had been laying tile: 25 years.

GBC Kitchen is fantastic. We were very stressed when picking a company to remodel our kitchen. From day 1 GBC was responsive, fair, and extremely buttoned up. With COVID, they continued our project, keeping their workers and our family safe. Our kitchen came out beautiful; feels like a new home. Our project manager Liz Rivas deserves the biggest shout-out. I have never met someone so responsive and accommodating. Her job was far from easy due to the pandemic, but she made it happen. I highly recommend GBC; we honestly feel like we are friends with Liz now. We are thankful we found them and we highly recommend them.

Our completely new, renovated kitchen was completed on time and within a very reasonable budget, even in view of the current pandemic situation. The kitchen is beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the result. Liz Rivas, the GBC main point of contact, was terrific to work with from planning through the final execution stages. The rest of the GBC supporting staff, Henry, Louisa, Tony and Enrique were skilled, courteous and efficient. The site was also cleared of excess materials and professionally cleaned and the company acted immediately on follow up matters. A very good organization to do business with.

I recently had my bathroom remodeled by GBC Kitchen and Bath in Rockville, MD. I am so happy with how beautiful my bathroom turned out. The designer's suggestions were top notch. Their staff patiently guided me and the project was completed within the estimated amount. I did need to research and pay attention to certain details and dimensions myself, that I were left hanging. Other than the project was very well handled.
