“Mr. Conrad came to our house and showed my wife dozens of options for replacing the upholstery on our couch and chair. In addition, he made a new cushion for our rocker and the seat for our antique hall tree. He did everything as promised in the time and for the price he quoted. All of the furniture came back looking like new and it felt better - he updated the cushions in the couch and the filling on it and in the chair. Very good work for the price. I highly recommend him. I saw some of the other reviews. Mr. Conrad does speak fast and wants to keep moving but he was polite and could quickly size up the job.”

“Updated review 4th time on 1/3/19 We are updating our review and increased the star rating, although we still have one non-operable bathroom and the owner, Nicholas, has proven to be extremely difficult, I would like to update the review on the entire experience and not just the final. We used Rosewood to renovate our kitchen, two bathrooms, added a powder room, had all floors refinished and several areas painted. The total renovation totaled over $100K including his fees, additional invoices, materials/ plumbing we ordered for reference. Pros: -Was affordable -Seemed easy to work with and professional -Worked on most of what was requested -Subcontractors used were reputable and appeared to be reliable -Worked on a tight timeline and stayed for the most part roughly on schedule Cons: -Subcontracted most of the work, therefore no real presence of the actual company. Although, most of the sub contractors were pleasant. -Was not able to offer plumbing, tile or vanity options that were not Moen Branbury. Several emails outlining what was needed and was told to order directly rather than he order/build into contract, even with specs provided. -Very conservative -Made a few decisions on the renovation without asking for approval (this was communicated to him as well). -Upon near completion of the project, the owner disappeared never following through with the last items he was to install/ correct which were hardware on a bathroom (which he still owes us $), and fixing a valve he advised us to get as a replacement as one bathroom was still not functional. This is for a shower fixture we had to purchase as he was unable to provide options. His comment states this was a $2K system, this was $250 system purchased on build. -Floor stains were not what we approved. Regardless of the can of stain, the amount of stain applied is not what we approved. Photo attached of what we had approved and what the final stain result was. Bottom line, it took posting a review to hear back from him after almost 2 mo. His comments on the review contradict the emails sent (example attached) as he never offered to replace the shower system at no charge, in fact, to this date he only states he would repair for a cost, which was not what was discussed in Sep when the project was near completion. If you want an affordable contractor and understand you will not receive high quality work and are OK with being the design lead and are ok with ordering all the components; then he might be the right contractor. Keep in mind you will have to be on sight and manage the job as he was not present most of the time. We are baffled to have had what seemed like a decent working relationship during the project truly implode. However, our renovation is complete with all but one bathroom functioning. Had he followed through till the end we would have rated much higher and the cons would have been outweighed.”
