I called this afternoon to speak with the officer who took the police report after my car accident. I did have to hold for a while, but I didn't mind that. After all, it is a police station.
The woman who took my call was very pleasant. I asked if they had a fax machine and she said no, only the detectives have a fax. I felt bad that the rest of the precinct was in the Dark Ages.
She told me that the officer I sought was not in today but would be in tomorrow. She told me what time they would be in AND took a message.
I was very impressed.
