“My cars and apartment-house-condo have been insured by State Farm for 50+ years, and this particular office has been the best I ever had. My condo’s sprinkler system malfunctioned and flooded a few inches of water throughout the whole place. Attic drywall fell in, ceiling lights shorted out, upholstered furniture and area rugs soaked, Pergo floors buckled … It was awful. Gaye McGovern was at my condo within an hour of my phone call and took care of everything, i.e., called Service Master to rip up all the flooring and leave a dozen dehumidifiers, reserve a room at a nearby hotel for me to spend the night, took photos, etc. The claims adjuster, Gwen Edwards, was also first rate, with no quibbles about quick payments … unlike Erie’s adjuster ( the condo association master insurance carrier). The latter didn’t show up for over a week, misreported the height of the ceilings, refused to pay for several, repairs e.g., replacing insulation in attic, and didn’t settle my claim for almost a year! Whereas State Farm and this particular office really showed up and took exceptional care of me and settled everything very quickly. 5-star service!”
