“Elmwood is absolutely worth visiting for an event and/or staying overnight. From the warm welcoming of the outside farm cats to the gracious hostesses Selena and Lettie will certainly make you feel at home. Their b&b is clean, spacious, serene, and cozy. It was a very peaceful environment with beautiful views which added to the relaxing stay. They are from the area and would be able to recommend many activities & restaurants to suite your fancy. Samples of refreshing soaps and lotions were available in the room that Selena crafts. Coffee and hot tea were available at anytime. Breakfast was delicious with a savory crepe flavored perfectly with every bite and a sweet crepe that was divine with their special ginger sauce. We had an unexpected heavy snowfall in the morning in which Selena plowed us out of the driveway and down the road to make sure we were departing safely. Lettie had even cleaned off our car before we came out to load our luggage. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about our stay and events we had attended in the past. This is a must stay for anyone who is looking for a b&b where you will be able to relax and enjoy every minute. Thank you both again for your thoughtful and generous kindness during our stay.”

Breakfast area was clean and the food was very tasty. This breakfast bar had so many different choices of items to enjoy. “This is my third visit here. I'm in the area for work for a few days at a time and this is the hotel my company chose for me. The rooms are nice and the free breakfast (located in the adjacent restaurant) is maybe a bit limited but it is free, so I can't complain too much :) I find the beds very comfortable and while there are not exactly scenic views, it's close to a LOT of shopping and dining options. The staff is very friendly and while I don't take much advantage of housekeeping, they do a nice job. Since I'm here for approximately a week at a time, I'd much prefer a bigger and updated fridge--maybe one that's not in the bathroom, and doesn't tend to freeze my complimentary water bottles into slush if I'm not careful to check its temp).”

“I was booked here for 2 weeks by my new job. Breakfast was prepared every morning, and there's even a pool and hot tub. Very easy to find on and off the highways. “My husband and I work for the owner, we can say that this man REALLY cares about his guests. He runs a tight ship. He makes sure every comfort and amenity is up to par. He is respectful, a man of his word. We consider it a privilege to both know him and work for him. This location is ideal for a vacation, the inground pool is clean and inviting. You can catch many, many crabs and fish from the wonderful pier, there is even a boat with a motor! Sitting out on the pier is great for reflecting and relaxing, with chairs built right on the pier! This is the place to go if you want a great vacation!”

“Super quiet, primitive campground for DOD personnel. There are campsites with picnic tables and stone fire rings. There are pavilions with picnic tables, and a couple of small charcole grills. There is a playground and a boat ramp. There are no showers; but, there is a portapot. The campground is very clean and quiet.”
