“I called this afternoon to speak with the officer who took the police report after my car accident. I did have to hold for a while, but I didn't mind that. After all, it is a police station. The woman who took my call was very pleasant. I asked if they had a fax machine and she said no, only the detectives have a fax. I felt bad that the rest of the precinct was in the Dark Ages. She told me that the officer I sought was not in today but would be in tomorrow. She told me what time they would be in AND took a message. I was very impressed.”

“I was in a bad accident where my car was totaled. They came out to the scene assessed the damage and were polite and respectful. I called up here a few times to see if the police report was ready and everyone that answered the phone was kind, respectful and polite. When the police report was "approved" I rode the bus to this police station to pick up the report because that is what the other driver insurance was waiting for to accept liability. When I got up there a women got the report ready and said "I'm guessing no one told you about the $10.00 fee" I replied "uh no they didn't" she said "do you have the $10.00"? I said "I have $5 but we rode the bus". She replied "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT". While waiting for the report we looked at a board where things were posted it said hiring moco police $39,000 -$47,899. I was shocked how little they get paid, this is an expensive county and they put their lives on the line possibly to never see their families to protect the good people!!!! All you guys can do is talk s#$t but when you need them you will be crying a different story! I understand their are good cops and bad but all the reviews seem like "copy cats" or trolling!! This is a real review no one asked me write this!!!”

“My family used the multipurpose room as a gathering to host my grandmother's repast. It was an awesome choice as my close family and friends were able to have a gorgeous plated dinner in honor of our late grandmother . Great location, parking is great and awesome staff to work with......”

Cheverly Police Department

Address: 6401 Forest Rd, Cheverly, MD 20785, USA

Police

“I've lived in Cheverly for 6 years and always had a positive experience with our police department. I've worked with them several times: I live on the main road and have had to deal with two of my cars being totaled and another car ending up in my front yard. The two times Cheverly police came, it was dealt with promptly and professionally. The third time, the Cheverly police were unavailable, so a PG County cop was sent- he was awful, was unsafe in how he stopped his car, wrote the report incorrectly (I called his supervisor and made them send a different officer to correct it), etc. Cheverly police do a great job looking out for our homes, communicating with the public, and watching out for our kids- especially on Halloween and "ride your bike to school day". I am happy with their service in our community.”
