“Boat ride is very relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. Have your choice of sitting on top the boat for a vast open view or inside the boat if your not into excess sun. The captain is very pleasant and knowledgeable of the various sites along the way. The Island is very quaint and peaceful. You can either walk or rent a golf cart to get around. Great for a laid back day trip. Around 5 hours total.”

“3First time over to help move some equipment from the island and it was a great experience. Locals where great people to meet, very friendly and helpful with showing us the correct house. Only downfall was that I've lived on eastern shore all My life and ate plenty of Smith island cakes from local bakeries and wanted to buy one from Smith island to see if theirs were any different, well all the restaurants were closed, probably because of the time of year but I'll return to try again. I want to take my family back so they can experience it. I know they have daily boat rides over from crisfield md and would be a great family trip over for anyone who's visiting.”

“Exactly the quiet getaway we were hoping for! Susan was the most gracious of hosts and absolutely excellent cook. Breakfast was filling and delicious. We had Susan make us dinner one night and it was beautifully prepared softshell crabs, tasty sides and smith island cake for dessert! The windowed porch provided a spectacular view of the bay, goat island (we saw the goats daily), sunsets, and the constant bird activity (Heron, Osprey, Eagle, Egret, Raven, & dozens more.) The bicycles and paddle craft Susan includes with the stay offered us the full range of exploration of the island and made it possible to visit Tylerton (also on Smith Island but only accessible by boat. Susan's is the perfect place to unplug and unwind!”
