“Finally my teacher began teaching me to read. I first read raised letters and later on read with Braille. I learnt to write With both ordinary as well as Braille type writer. I was well on my path to becoming a well educated person. I was provided all the possible opportunities to develop my abilities and I made the maximum use of them. ' I developed great confidence and I even visited the president, Cleveland at the White Hoflse. . In118901 at the age of about ten, I moved to the Perkins Institution. Here my teacher Anne Sullivan continued to teach me. I could make friends with other blind children here. My loneliness began to disappear and my progress of learning improved quite well. I learnt Latin, German and arithmet'c. In 1896, I moved onto the Cambridge School for Young Ladies in Massachusetts. This was really a great achievement for a lady like me who was blind, deaf and could barely produce sounds for communication. I began writing poems and stories. Shortly before my examination, I lost my father. Although”

“We have loved our two years at Mount Alvernia for our daughter (age 9) and two sons (5 and 3). While I could list many positives of the school, the two key aspects which sets it apart from other schools is its extremely dedicated and caring staff and very well behaved, sweet kids at all grades. It is such a comfort to know that are children are given top notch academics but also being cared for emotionally and spiritually in a safe environment. Our 9 yo was bored in Lexington schools and is challenged by MAA’s nearly personalized curriculum. Our 5 yo whom came to the school two years ago with learning delays has excelled and is now reading fully on his own. And our 3 yo just loves going into his preschool every day which thankfully has the same hours as the big school which means one drop off/one pick up. If you are shopping around for a school, I encourage you to visit MAA and see for yourself. I am also happy to answer any specific questions.”

“We have experienced several teachers across a variety of instruments at LB Music School. What is consistent across all of them is a sincere effort to hear what the student wants to achieve with his or her lessons. And sometimes those goals change and the instructors adapt. The teaching style is always supportive and oriented towards blending both learning music and learning other aspects of music (be it music theory, sight reading, improvisation, or otherwise). What is especially fun is that we are there taking lessons as a kid and a parent. The parent is picking up a new instrument for the first time and the kid had so much fun with the first instrument that he is picking up a second. How many kids and adults do that? I think it speaks to the other aspect of taking lessons here: it feels like family. Everyone is supportive and friendly and it just motivates a person to learn more. As the adult in this pair, I can’t say enough about how rewarding it has been to pick up and progress in a new instrument. Finally, it says a lot when the owner and business manager both set aside successful careers in other walks of life because they „get“ what it means to make music accessible to everyone.”

“I have known Lauren for some time now. Every advice and feedback I've gotten from her have always been very positive and helpful. She always acts very professional and is always committed in helping me out. This is is something I truly value, especially in the music business, where this kind of attitude is hard to come by. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Lauren. She is probably the best teacher you're going to find in the Boston area.”

“I've had a number of phone readings with Tarek over the last few years, and he is amazing! He is so insightful and accurate, and his readings always give me a total sense of clarity and reassurance. I highly recommend him.”

“The Chestnut Hill School has been an amazing school for both of our children, and for us as parents. The community is wonderful. There is a real commitment to pluralism and it is apparent in the environment of respect and understanding of differences for everyone. Academically, the curriculum, faculty and staff are all excellent. We could not be happier about the education our children are receiving. It is a nurturing and supportive environment, as well as academically challenging.”

“My son completed kindergarten at Haggerty last year. It was the best experience any parent could have wished for. Almost immediately the principal could greet my son by name at the front door (and his younger sister who didn't even attend there)! There were many wonderful events that the school hosted like movie nights that really allowed families to bond with each other, by the end of the year many of his classmates parents became great friends! The size is perfect for elementary ages, it always felt warm and welcoming. The school liaison Ms. Lissa Galluccio was amazing, a great resource for parents. His teacher Ms. Doherty and assistant teacher Ms. Martin were both extremely supportive, kind and thoughtful. We visited other Cambridge schools but this one was our first pick even though it was further, and we didn't regret it!”

“It was a great school. A better education than the other schools in the area.”
