This place is fantastic, we went once and bought annual passes because the place is nearly impossible to get through in one shot. We take our 1.5 year old son there any chance we get. definitely a worthy visit if you are visiting boston as a tourist or want to do something fun with the family
Still my favorite New England museum and worth the hefty price of admission and extras. I bring lunch for the family in order to save time and money. The exhibits are ever-changing so our visits stay fresh and informative, appealing to all ages. It is always super clean and the staff is very helpful. They have lockers and rest rooms, including a family private restroom in the green wing on the second floor. And the famous Boston Duck Tours begin and end out front if you want to add another fun adventure to your day!
This place is an absolute gem for children in order to spark their minds as scientists. Not only does it include exhibits but there are many interactive activities to do within. I felt like this would be a wonderful opportunity to bring kids to learn and captivate interest in science. Being a college student, I still found some of these shows/exhibits rather entertaining and I'm still learning from it. Although on the smaller side, I think this museum was an incredible experience. I highly recommend the electricity show. Parking was >$20 for about 5 hours but was attached to the building. The museum was easy to find and the overall experience was a bunch of fun
There was an amazing amount of interactive stuff to do at the museum. We also went to see a live animal show which was really fun. We were a group of adults and it was nice that everything was aimed at people of all ages. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the Dog exhibit, which is where we ended up spending most of our time.
The view of the river when you first walk in is stunning as well. We were visiting from out of town so it was amazing to see the river and learn about the waves at the same time.
You definitely get your money's worth here, this place is huge! We didn't even attend any of the planetarium shows (we wanted to, just ran out of time) and we were at the museum for several hours. There are many interactive exhibits that are both fun and educational. Would definitely recommend going, it's a perfect trip for families/children as well. We will be returning during one of our next Boston trips to check out the planetarium!
