“Great fountain - only a block walk from the beach. You can get all the sand off here on the way home from the beach! The fountains are fun. Every few minutes they turn off for about 10 seconds and then the giant water cannons from the side kick in. It is quite exciting, and there is plenty of warning if your young kids are scared of the large water cannons.”

“This is a good place to hangout with friends and family or just alone. But as its beauty gives us a great place a couple of years a friend of ours lost two friends she loved the beach went to the end of pier and the wind blew her off the guy she was with was a professional swimmer they both lost their lives that night ????the next day the waters and weather were great .So please take caution on the pier when I found out my daughter and friends jumped many times for fun I was shocked. Also I'm not a water person and with everything that people got sick from with beaches this year I like to look but not going anywhere near it.”

“In the heart of Berrien county's growing wine country. Tye little village is home to Round Barn, Founders and a brand new winery whose name I cant recall. They also host to craft brew houses. Just 10 years ago it was a sleepy farm town.”

“What a fun little park! The playground is rated for five through 12-year-olds, so my almost 3-year-old did have a few issues where things were too big for her. The picnic tables and grills are nice. There's a giant open field where you can do whatever you want, and way in the back on the right you can scramble down to the creek if your kids want to take a look. The parking lot is tiny, however, so the only real bummer is it limits who can be there; there probably won't be a lot of friends for your kids to play with.”

“Nice place to visit. Parking is free in near by streets but it’s very hard to find. Better not to spend time on searching for a spot. Paid parking is always available, get through the entrance of the beach to pay and grab a spot. Have a peaceful time enjoying the beach!”

“I love the twin cities of Benton Harbour and St. Joseph. Small and peaceful towns with a beautiful beach - Silver Beach. The water is awesome, and it's simply lovely to just even sit there soaking the sun :)”

“Incredibly well maintained, clean and even smell of air freshner. I was pleasantly surprised”

“A nice park. There is some curb side free parking that may be open depending on what day and time you visit. Fun slides and such. There are water breakers and swim-able beach, but I wouldn't suggest swimming here. It's a bit rocky, gets deep fast and there is no life guard.”

“Great place to take a few minutes for contemplation and lunch. Would be better if the view of the lake was more visible. Too many trees blocking the view.”

“I know it is a great place to stop and take a break / eat a apple ???? while bike riding. Looks like the park is mainly there for baseball and soccer. Appears to have four or five baseball diamonds and the same number of soccer fields. Plenty of paved parking, some picnic tables and shade trees.”

“Very secluded and quiet beach. There are some toilets but no other amenities. Also very steep sand hill to get to a narrow beach, so if you have mobility issues, this isn’t a beach for you to get access too. Other than that, it’s quiet and there aren’t too many people that go here.”

“It’s a nice hiking park. Parts of the trails were flooded though (mid June), but there are several trails to veer from. It’s very sandy when you get close to the water, like all of this side of Lake Michigan. People along the trail were nice. I wish the water was warmer.”

“A good little lake with lots of weeds for fish to hide in. The later in the year the more the weeds and lily pads grow up. Good place to kayak. There are duck blinds in middle of lake that provide great cover. Also free parking. Lots of water life on and around this lake.”

“This is a really great Forest Preserve not very big but there's a nice connector Trail between Warren Woods Road and Elm Valley Road where the main entrance is. They have rustic facilities. A couple benches along the way to sit and watch the beautiful nature. I really pretty big bridge over the creek. You get to walk / hike through old growth forests and bog / swamplands. If you take your time you can see all kinds of Flora and Fauna. The entrance on Warren Woods Road is easy to miss however you drive through a canopy and you'll see pull off parking on both sides of the road it's very close to the bridge that crosses a small Creek which is just west of the parking for the trailhead. I haven't checked exactly but I would guess the trail is about three-quarters of a mile to 1 mile each way. You don't really need hiking shoes or boots however the trail can be damp/ really wet so they certainly can't hurt in the lowlands, and in the wintertime the bogs freeze so you can walk on them with caution.”

“There is parking along the side of the road on Warren Woods Rd. There is also a parking lot with picnic tables and porta-potties on Elm Valley Rd, on the opposite (south) side of the woods. There are paths into the woods from both sides, but they kind of get fuzzy in the middle. It can be hard to find your way from one end to the other. The spring near the river, and near the road, on the north side used to have a pipe where you could fill up your jugs with spring water. It was taken out. People opened it up again to get water, etc. It has been going back and forth. Nobody has ever been harmed from drinking the water that I know of. Warren Woods is a division of Warren Dunes State park, and is kept up by the state park. Admission is free, but the parking lot closes at night.”

“This is an awesome park. I love taking my dog with me. I so wish that the trails we're better marked. They not only provide poop bags but they actually provide trash cans. This is huge an I think helps people be more responsible.”

“We rented the ranch cabin for a couple of nights and it was clean and comfortable! Our boys loved the bunk beds! Owners were so welcoming and helpful. You have to bring your own bedding, but sleeping bags worked for our boys on the bunk beds. Must Dos: Get ice cream from the Beach Bucket next door and bring bug spray for the campfire at night.”
