solid place to live.
spacious, with lots of windows. the walls seem pretty thick. didn’t hear many neighbors in the 1 1/2 years i lived there.
you do, of course, hear sirens throughout the day with Beaumont and the Fire Station being close by.
the front desk gets back to you in a timely manner, and if things need to be fixed, they get fixed. (besides maybe that janky elevator).
good price for Royal Oak and a great location.
I have a family member who stays here. It's very nice from what I have seen. It's right off Woodward so it's definitely great if you are facing Woodward to see the dream cruise every year.
I highly recommend! Firstly, I find it very disappointing to see 1 star reviews from people that their only complaint is bad customer service. That’s no reason to completely bash a business. The office staff aren’t going to win any awards for being overly friendly but they are professional and respond to my emails within a day. The reason for my 5 star review is simply because it is nearly impossible to find a dependable and well maintained apartment complex such as this one. There are three living options in life...apartments, condos and houses. If you honestly think an apartment complex built in 1965 is going to be absolutely perfect, you’re just ignorant. However, this complex cares about its residents and that goes a long way with me so this review is much deserved.
The units are a little small but it’s your job as an adult to walk through and see it before you sign the papers. I’m a 300lb guy with lots of belongings and I feel very comfortable. I have never heard of an apartment complex having central air vents. The wall A/C units are old and yes the summers are hot but the unit completely cooled my bedroom in 20 minutes. If that isn’t good enough, buy a portable A/C unit from Home Depot that is far more powerful and energy efficient. Winters are fine and Ive had zero issues with insulation. In fact, I often open the windows because it gets too warm from the units heaters. I also noticed that my apartment has been completely updated with granite countertops, new carpet, fresh paint and brand new appliances which was a huge factor for signing my lease here. No utilities are included but they bill you based off of the total usage of all residents. Granted, I’m a very eco efficient person but my water and gas bill has never gone over $35 during any month.
Ive lived here 1 year and the only maintenance issue I had was when an outlet blew causing my fridge to turn off. The only reason I called was because I couldn’t find the fuse box. Anyway, I put the request in on a Thursday night and they showed up first thing in the morning and fixed it. They have about 4 maintenance guys working here and they take really good care of the complex daily!
The location is awesome and my neighbors are quiet. The price is also about $200 less compared to anything else around. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, clean and legitimate apartment, definitely look into these. They will not disappoint!
Very nice patio. Consistently good food.
