Ann arbor Ypsilanti

Mill Pond Park

Address: 565 W Bennett St, Saline, MI 48176, USA

Park

“Kids had a great time on the very large play structure, it's mostly made out of wood and was pretty cool for a playground, and across a large grassy area was I'm pretty sure was a dog play area. I can't be certain because it was cold and very wet that day and we didn't walk over to it. There's a nice river that runs by, and possibly trails to walk on. I will update my post next time we go again because we definitely will. And also there was restrooms but they were locked 🥺 but for those emergency restroom needs there was a porta potty there.”

Lillie Park

“A beautiful place to stop for a moment and enjoy nature. Lots of birds, chipmunks, and other little critters to entertain and keep you company. Beautiful views of water with places for fishing or a picnic. There are benches and nice paths for walking.”

Brauer Preserve

Address: S Parker Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, USA

Park

“I think this place is pretty awesome. Some very cool terrain including woodlands and fields, plus some swampy marsh area. A perfect hike for a 50-60 degree day. It can be very mucky and wet from time to time, so I'd recommend wearing boots and bringing bug spray if it's warmer than 60 degrees out. You can find a variety of wildlife such as deer, chipmunks, and some birds around.”

“Nice neighborhood park. Playground structure, sandbox, swings with infant seats. No water fountain or bathrooms. Small basketball ring. Not so much shadow during summer days. It needs a little bit of maintenance.”

North Hydro Park

“Nice, quiet place. Good for family picnic. It is clean, has bathrooms and small shelter area, benches/ tables and grills that are well spread out and light flowing river. There's also a small Dam. You'll find quite a few people fishing there because of park's calm environment. If you're into photography, it is somewhat scenic and it has good variety of birds. Overall a good park to visit if you live 20-25 away. There are also 4 other parks close by, within 5-10 mins.”

Detroit / Ann Arbor KOA Holiday

Campground Rv park Park Lodging

“We loved our stay here. We had some bad luck with our truck breaking down when we got to the campsite but the staff was awesome. Sam and Mike were so helpful. Sam literally drove me into town to pick up the part I needed to fix my truck. They also offered a ton of help as well as let me use some tools. This is the best campground I have ever been to. Keep up the great work guys.”

Leonard Preserve

Address: N Union St, Manchester, MI 48158, USA

Park

“My brother made me aware of this trail about a year ago, and despite walking virtually the same route each time in close to 6-7 trips, I still feel like I’m just getting familiar with the loop(s). The way it’s set up allows considerable ‘customization’ in terms of distance/terrain, although we always go the 3+ miles to get the full benefit of Leonard Preserve. Some have described it as ‘easy rolling’ terrain, but there is enough elevation to make it a good workout, and it’s a little more challenging than the leisurely stroll implied in some reviews. If you haven’t been there before, I would suggest printing a map (or using AllTrails app, or similar) to aid with familiarization. I’ve only been to the Preserve once during hunting season, and it was without prior knowledge, so for future reference, ‘know before you go’ is my advice. I’m a dog owner, but the absence of irresponsible ‘poo management’ exhibited by some dog owners on other trails in the area is a good thing in my book. Washtenaw County does a good job maintaining the trail and are to be commended.”

Pittsfield Preserve Nature Trail Area

Address: 5000-, 5482 Thomas Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, USA

“A small trailhead with a rock parking lot, port-a-potty, old picnic table. Nicely mowed path back to the woods where the trail takes you through the woods and around an open prairie on the other side. Great for a hot days run, watch the roots and deadfall limbs.”

“A great island to kayak out to and do some reading. There are several picnic tables and even some shade is available most of the day. Great spot to bird watch from.”

“Such a wonderful place to go for a quiet, relaxing walk. The signage along the way is not well posted(if at all). It is worth visiting!! I highly recommend going during the fall months, this little gem has an abundance of great Autumn colors to enjoy.”

Lakeside Park

Address: 9999 Textile Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197, USA

Park

“About two weeks ago I was here to fish. The park is owned by Ypsilanti and Eastern Michael University as they use the dock for their skulling team practices. It just so happened they were there today. When they were finished I did not know they would be pulling in the dock for winter. That limits your efforts to catch crappie by about 20 feet. But I stayed and fished for crappie 20 feet further in than before. Eventually get this bite but couldn’t hook it and the bait was gone. Rebait the hook and another bite occurs, but this one didn’t get away! Ta-da!! A beautiful 21” walleye. This is a great place to fish!!”

Alexa CL

Address: Suite #100 Room 4, 170 Players Cir, Southlake, TX 76092, USA

Hair care Park

“A beautiful little township park. The park offers a nice walk through forests - very colorful this time of year, as well as open prairie and some small water features that attract ducks and geese. It has nice improvements provided by local scouts and is well maintained. The only slight downside is the entrance/parking location off Warner Road can feel dark and remote - I don’t mind but some may not feel safe. A nice place to walk and enjoy nature.”
