“We loved our stay here. We had some bad luck with our truck breaking down when we got to the campsite but the staff was awesome. Sam and Mike were so helpful. Sam literally drove me into town to pick up the part I needed to fix my truck. They also offered a ton of help as well as let me use some tools. This is the best campground I have ever been to. “Had a lovely experience. They didn't have the exact item I needed, but I was very particular. Stock is generally solid, prices are fair, the space is beautiful, and the people are nice (and no one had bad body odor, which is rare in these kinds of spaces). I went in looking for a Deck Box for some Tarot Decks, and had a lovely chat with several people there. This is a nice community hub for anyone interested in Tabletop Games, especially wargaming, which is what they were setup for when I arrived. Something called Bolt Action I think? It was new to me.”

“First time we went to Wiard's was for my daughter's 5th birthday. We're new to Michigan and have had fun going to different "Cider Mills"as a family. This orchard was the best family experience by far. The birthday party had us in a barn with 3 picnic tables and plenty of space. The cost included/allowed us to pay for our guests. We received donuts and apple cider and were allowed to bring in cake and beverages for the party. The kids had a BLAST. There was a blue ox bounce house, a corn bin for the kids to play in (like a sandbox but dried corn), inflated slides, playgrounds, petting zoo and a corn maze. We didn't do the fire truck ride, or the hay ride but they were always running and looked pretty fun. The party did include a free pumpkin for our daughter from the pumpkin patch so we wandered the acre or so wide pumpkin patch and found a great pumpkin. I was impressed at the quality of pumpkins, but I haven't been to a patch in a few years and those were in Colorado. Overall it was a great time. Staff were friendly, courteous and patient with the kids. 10/10 would recommend for families with kids.”

“Sierra was a fantastic doula for the birth of our daughter. She radiated calmness and warmth throughout the birth process, and was a great comfort to us. She provided so much support, and felt like an ultra competent family member guiding us through my wife's labor. She even took our favorite picture after our daughter was born. We are very grateful for Sierra's compassionate assistance, and we highly recommend her. My wife also attended several virtual prenatal yoga classes hosted by Lisa, and highly recommends her classes as well. The support and guidance that she received was exceptional, and she is planning to continue to attend Lisa's postnatal classes.”

“My brother made me aware of this trail about a year ago, and despite walking virtually the same route each time in close to 6-7 trips, I still feel like I’m just getting familiar with the loop(s). The way it’s set up allows considerable ‘customization’ in terms of distance/terrain, although we always go the 3+ miles to get the full benefit of Leonard Preserve. Some have described it as ‘easy rolling’ terrain, but there is enough elevation to make it a good workout, and it’s a little more challenging than the leisurely stroll implied in some reviews. If you haven’t been there before, I would suggest printing a map (or using AllTrails app, or similar) to aid with familiarization. I’ve only been to the Preserve once during hunting season, and it was without prior knowledge, so for future reference, ‘know before you go’ is my advice. I’m a dog owner, but the absence of irresponsible ‘poo management’ exhibited by some dog owners on other trails in the area is a good thing in my book. Washtenaw County does a good job maintaining the trail and are to be commended.”

“Jensen's is a fantastic local pharmacy. Unlike the big chains, Jensen's provides personal, friendly service. After visiting a few times the team started recognizing me and getting my prescriptions before I even got to the counter. They are quick and accurate. We have also gotten our vaccinations there. They offer online refills, online scheduling and have good systems for communicating with doctor's offices. They have also had no problems with our insurance. Finally, their prices are comparable to other pharmacies. We are so happy we made the switch.”
