“On May 14, 2026, a local near Michigan Central Station recommended an ice cream spot to me. Craving something sweet, my friends and I made our way over, only to arrive right at closing time. As we approached the entrance, co-owner Ruth kindly gestured that they were closed—but then opened the door just to hear us out. We explained that we had come based on a local’s recommendation and fully understood that we’d have to return another time. Moved by our story, Ruth invited us inside to at least say hello to her husband Tom, the other co-owner. We stepped in, just to show appreciation and let them know we’d respect their hours and be back. To our surprise, Ruth and Tom generously offered each of us a scoop of ice cream—letting us choose our flavors—and welcomed us with warm, genuine conversation. We talked about Detroit, the auto industry, Michigan Central Station, and more. It wasn’t just the dessert that made the visit special, but the hospitality and human connection they shared. Their kindness and the overall experience were truly remarkable. Ruth and Tom embody what it means to go above and beyond for their customers. I look forward to bringing others back to enjoy not only the delicious ice cream but also the cozy, inviting atmosphere they’ve created. The shop is family-friendly, with plenty of nearby parking, a clean and bright interior filled with natural light, and a welcoming space perfect for relaxing, meeting neighbors, or playing games together. “Stopped at this Tim Hortons location on Memorial Day 2024 on my way back to Wisconsin (as WI doesn't have Tim Hortons) to pick up three couple of their four-cheese bagels and a couple blueberry muffins to share with my family. The guy at the window said they didn't have any four-cheese bagels, but if I wanted to wait 5 minutes or so, he could make some. This made my day!! I've stopped at other locations and have not received the same offer when they've been out of this bagel. Kudos to the young man (maybe college aged - I'm a terrible judge of age) who took the initiative! Wish I would have gotten his name to include in this review so he could be recognized by his manager appropriately.”

“My kids and I stopped in for some coffee after being at the museum. Tim Hortons is their favorite coffee stop. I have to admit they do have good coffee. I'm a fan of the flavored stuff, they willingly mixed their caramel and mocha together for me. It was a home run. We didn't get any pastries or other food because we had already eaten. But all those things sure looked tempting! I don't like bitter coffee, their beans have a rich, full-bodied taste. I've been to Starbucks a couple of times, but the price or the coffee itself, just doesn't do it for me. However, I could easily become a Tim Horton's fan. ☕☕☕☕☕☕”

“This is an adorable mini modern cafe with plenty of greenery on the walls, five seats facing the windows, and a limited selection of food and beverages. It’s perfect for to go coffees with a pickup window right out front. Felix assisted me with picking my latte, I got the seasonal horchata latte and it was delicious and prepared with latte art. Great option with a little kick to it. I personally prefer more of a sit down cafe with plenty of seating options so I more than likely won’t stop by too often. However, if you like grab and go’s from small businesses or window seating for people watching, it’s worth checking out!”

“Stopped for a light brunch/lunch after a Dr. appointment in the area. Such a cute, quaint location. Clear and concise menu and very friendly staff members! We ordered a bagel sandwich and a cinnamon roll to eat in. Everything was fresh and delicious! The bagel sandwich was put together perfectly and not just slapped together - it took several minutes for it to come out but I prefer that anyway for quality food. “Reese is the best & most rocking barista @ the Starbucks located within the Target on Mich Ave. in Canton, MI! It was a sincere pleasure to meet her. She was sporting this awesome light blue leopard print hair dye style & I complimented her on it & I even asked her if it would be okay for me to take a photo of her to share with my daughter, who I knew would love it. Reese kindly obliged & gave me my coffee order. Then, I got my Target shopping cart & I could not understand why they no longer had coffee cup holders. I was half awake because I did not have a cup of coffee before I left the house & I just kind of stood there staring at my cart trying to figure out where I was supposed to put my coffee cup. To my complete surprise & delight, Reese kindly walked over to me & brought a special coffee cup hook holder which slides onto the cart. She put it on my cart for me & told me that they keep a basket of them by the register for those who buy a coffee from Starbucks. This was all new to me & I really appreciated her loving kindness that she extended to me. You get what you give. You rock, Reese! Keep up the great work!”

“Dang! This place is AMAZING 😍 We came in for a late brunch today. The service was fast and friendly. The stuffed French toast is rich, and tender. The Florentine Benedict is a delight! Their hollandaise sauce is so well balanced. The house potatoes are seasoned well and crispy. Watching the staff work was amazing too. The cooks were clearly having fun with what they were doing, and no one stops moving. Wow. Neurodivergent heads up: as with many diners, it's very loud inside. Ear plugs helped. The lighting is not fluorescent, and is a nice relaxing level.”
