The views on the back deck are incredible, and it is a great location-an easy 1 mile walk into town/to the beach. The staff members that we have encountered are all very professional, efficient and courteous. The first trip i was on the third floor and the room smelled a little smoky even know it was non smoking. the second stay our room was on the first floor and was a bit musty or damp feeling throughout our stay. Gave suggestions for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was perfect. Great selections. (You choose your breakfast the evening before). Plenty of games for your use , inside and out. Hope to be able to stay there again on our next trip to the area.”

“The owners of this motel have gone through some growing pains with staff. It's a large motel & a lot to maintain. I have stayed there 5 times & each time I return, more improvements have been made. My rooms have always been clean & it is a quiet place to sleep. The price is more than reasonable. The staff has always been very accommodating to anything I've asked for. I will always be a loyal customer to them. If you're looking for a five star motel in the area, you can surely find it but you will pay the higher price. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to rest while you're in town, I recommend this one. Try not to pick it apart. The owners work very hard.”

“A very nice place to relax and enjoy the views. We stayed in a chalet that was on the top of a hill. This location gave us the opportunity to watch the sunset into the lake while on the front deck. Chalet on the lake has all kinds things for the whole family including a fishing pond, two pools, two sets of double tennis courts, sand volleyball court and a playground. This is a very homey place to spend a family getaway which is not too far out of the way. About an hour and half from Chicago which the route has many places to stop and eat or taste wine and beer.”
