“This Trail is absolutely beautiful. The whole Lebanon Hills Regional Park area is an absolute gem tucked away. I love how in Minnesota that you can find places like this hidden in the suburbs. I'm easy to please with Parks and Trails but this is by far the best I've seen that's close to the cities. If you remotely enjoy walking do yourself a favor and explore this place. (I can't wait to knock out all the other trails at Lebanon out this year)”

“Grassy and wooded area good for walking dogs. Small parking lot is free. Small kids play area. It’s a bit tucked back from the road so watch for the turn off into the park we missed it the first time.”

“Great place to hike or walk you dog (especially if he's always getting attacked at the dog park). There are some really beautiful trails, but don't forget to bring enough water.”

“An exceptional dog park! Has an area for dogs 30lbs or under. Perfect for my chichuau!! Has plenty of room for them. Also a perfect little lake for big dogs with a great path around it. I would recommend it to any dog owners!!!”

“I miss green grass. Nice simple park with bask fields”

“This place is great. I have had any issues with aggressive dogs and it seems everyone is really helpful and nice. Large areas for the dogs to run in. The walking trails are great and covered in wood chips so even after the rain, you don't get super muddy. Things to be aware of: 1. No water is provided. This means bring your own, to ensure fresh water. There are bowls for the dogs, and usually there is water in them...but that water can be very dirty. 2. Toys are technically not allowed. People will fuss at you if you bring them 3. In the evening (during the summer), the bats come out. They will swoop by your head. R. Make sure you and your dog have tick protection.”

“Overall this is a great park for kids. Lots of fun things to play with, including zip line, slides, swings, sand digger, climbing structure, and more. There's a nearby pavilion with benches which provides good shade, but I wish there was more shade around the park itself. There's only two benches outside of the pavilion. There's some large playing fields nearby too.”

“Beautiful trees and green grass to play in (a little forest get away--perfect for playing ball or a picnic)! Quiet neighborhood. Smaller park but in good condition. Also has 2 tennis courts fenced in.”

“Cute unique playground that is best for a little older kids (not babies/toddlers). My kids’ favorite part is the “obstacle course” on the logs around the playground, but they say it could use a fire pole. The park is near a busy road but has quiet walking paths and the playground is set back a bit from the road.”

“Great location for a walk. Definitely feels like being in the middle of the woods even though you're in the middle of Eagan. There's little to no noise from surrounding cars even though the road isn't terribly far away. A few other walkers, but it's a nice location if you want some solitude. The trail can be a quick walk, or loops for longer walks. Beautiful trees and greenery with occasional educational signs. Also, there wasn't any mosquitoes, which normally find me in a short span of time when I go outside.”

“Moderate size playground with full sized swingset, a little climbing apparatus and a full sized basketball court. There is also a nice fishing pier you can fish off of or just enjoy the view of Hay Lake.”

“This is a beautiful park for hiking. The art along the way is wonderful and also blends in the surroundings in a wonderful way. There are pora-potties available near parking lots and gathering areas. Google maps first took me to the entrance area where the skate park is. I drove back to the art park entrance and that was a quick way to hiking trails and to the art installations. The skatepark looks like it's in great shape but I don't skate so all I can say about that is that the concrete looks smooth and the rails seemed sturdy and it was clean. I look forward to attending an event at this park sometime.”

“Hidden in plain sight. Beautiful strong waterfall. Hiking g boots recommended, but I did the river trail in regular shoes. Saw people heading out with kayaks which with some good rapids would be fun!”

“Trail entrance was a little obscure and there was a sign saying the trail was closed, but we forged ahead. The trail has a number of hills around the lake making it a more vigorous walk, but it's beautiful. It also linked up with Caponi Art Park.”

“Revised 12/01/2021. I've been bringing my Corgis here for about a year and I have added a star. We pay the annual fee at a couple other parks but almost always choose to take our dogs to Alimagnet. Sure, it's the closest to us but there's also a couple other things I've noticed that make this park better than the others [1] - Ample waste bins. There are a lot scattered around the park. I'm pretty sure these are maintained (emptied) by patrons and volunteers so do your part and take them to the entrance if they're full. Most other parks have bins only at the entrance/exit. [2] - Heated shelters for humans. If you're the type that likes to stand in one place and be somewhat comfortable on those cold and windy days, it's definitely a plus. [3] - Occasional events. Sometimes you'll be able to buy ice cream for yourself and/or your furry companion...bonus! [4] - People working in the background to keep the park clean, safe, and hospitable. I don't know who you all are but thank you. I have read some other reviews and I don't necessarily agree that Alimagnet is less clean or that owners are less mindful of their pets. Good practice at any park is to clean up a mess if you see one even if it's not yours. If you didn't realize that it's not always possible to know what your dog is doing 100% of the time, you're relatively new to dog ownership :) I have experienced a couple dogs getting overly excited but wouldn't classify it as a pattern or unique to this park. There's a 'small' dog meeting area at the entrance and a 0.4 mile fenced in loop around a small pond with a sign posted that the water can become stagnate and dangerous to dogs during warmer months. Because the water area is separate from the rest of the park, it is possible to keep your dog out of that area altogether which is nice if they lack willpower like mine do. Opposite the entrance, there's a larger area for more energetic or bigger dogs to play and fetch; this is usually devoid of any grass as it gets trampled daily so on wet days, prepare your dog bath ahead of time. Gates by the entrance and outside the large dog play area help contain your dog but the overall area is small enough that you don't have to worry about completely losing track of your furry friend. There are usually free pet waste bags supplied by a local pet store and I've gone at various times and haven't encountered overcrowding. Also, it's (1) FREE and (2) convenient and thus the perfect place for my stubby 6 month old corgi who is now over a year and my new 6 month old corgi.”

“Great little park with a basketball court as well.”

“So happy to have an archery site so close to home. Tennis court could use some love though - it's quite cracked and uneven.”

“Parking lot is not plowed in the winter, so you'll have to park on the north side of the highway. There's no way to cross the river to access the east side except to use the bridge over the highway. The oak woodlands in the southeast corner are beautiful and lots of work has been done to clear invasive buckthorn from the understory. Great place to hike, hunt, trap and fish!”

“Nice neighborhood park on top of a hill. My kids and dogs enjoy walking the path. It has a small playground and two benches. There is also a basketball court at the bottom of the hill. There are no bathrooms and just a few parking spots on the street. The city does not plow the walking path through the park.”

“My kids always have fun and the parents tonight were amazing just letting our kids be kids”

“Small parking playground but it fits the bill. Basketball court, one picnic table, an open field for running or a small game of soccer or baseball. The playground is newer with lots of spinny things which my kids love.”
Address: Ipava Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044, USA
“This is a wooded trail that connects a few of the Lakeville neighborhoods. The path is paved and about half of it is shaded. The entire length of the trail is about 0.65 miles (1.3 out-and-back). There is a small parking lot on the corner of 192nd and Ipava. The trail is good for shorter walks in the warmer months, but is not always plowed/shoveled in the winter.”
