  Recovery Academy is a Blessing. My experience with the people running this Academy was edifying. True compassion with professional knowledge and Hope for a wonderful future. My Son has been blessed to be a part of this program

  Recovery Academy was so helpful with helping a family member on their journey towards a sober life. They have so many options for treatment tailored to each individual client. They can be a great option for transitional or long term care. They are extremely professional, and have helped our family immensely.

  I had a great experience at Recovery Academy. What i like about RA is that it is not your traditional 30 day treatment. I love that its a step down program. Meaning once i got a few months sober i moved to a less structured house to try to see if i was solid enough in my recovery to succeed in the real world=getting a job, meating new sober friends in meatings, just doing things a little more indipendantly, while at the same time still having that support system to lean on if things started to get hard. I have been to countless treatments all over the country. It has taken me years to gain some long term sobriety and i couldnt have done it without this program. The support staff here are dedicated, kind hearted, and were able to relate to my struggles which really just made me feel welcome and understood. Recovery academies counslers, support staff, and even fellow clients truly helped me gain the strength and confidence in myself to focus on battling against my struggles with mental illness, addiction, and the shame and guilt that comes with it.

  Prior to arriving at Recovery Academy (RA), my son had been in and out of many traditional sober houses during his struggle toward sobriety. Among the problems he faced was that when he relapsed, he was immediately kicked out of the sober house, literally to the street in some cases, and had to start picking up the pieces again of detox, treatment and finding a new sober house in which to practice his new skills. This was getting to be a vicious cycle and then, thankfully, we learned about RA and its holistic approach to recovery. We learned that IF a relapse occurs, RA would help through the process rather than my son having to start all over again. We learned that RA would accompany my son and provide transportation to his court dates. We found that RA provides community building social activities to strengthen relationship in the RA community. We had weekly and then bi-weekly contact with a counselor who was there to answer any questions we may have and to support us. Administration is incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we have and responds quickly – and with care - to any text, call or email. We found a place where good, healthy meals and snacks are available - I checked out the kitchen myself when we were in town and found it extremely well stocked. Our son reported excellent dinners prepared each night. And he reported more than that. He shared that this place was different and that they really care and that he liked the different houses within the community and that he was/is doing well in his recovery. This time things are different – our son is in school and thriving. We are grateful RA has been there to provide a healthy, caring and structured environment for our son – and we are grateful that our son has embraced this opportunity. I would highly recommend RA’s program to anyone struggling with addiction. Good luck to you and yours – and remember, you are not alone!

  As a parent, I can say Recovery Academy is what worked for our son. He was in many treatment facilities both inpatient and outpatient all over the country for 5 years. The long term treatment model is key. It takes much longer than 30 days to break patterns that have been going on for a decade. I had weekly phone conversations with the staff to keep us updated and to help us to break our enabling habits. He now has over a year sober and as an alum is still welcome to come to meetings and to participate in activities at the Recovery Academy.
