“The park is quiet and set back from the frontage road. It has a playground, fishing dock, swimming area, and a picnic area. The parking is close to everything. The playground is not great for young kids, but ages 4 and up will enjoy it.”

“We had 7 children and 4 adults. The children enjoyed the time in the water. The other visitors were friendly. Very nice small area, friendly and a large area of beach underwater, that goes out at about 3'>5' before getting deep.”

“They have a nice playground for toddlers that's not on a busy street. Plenty of seating for parents with more independent children. The equipment is well kept up and there are trash cans easily accessible so the park is clean. Porta potties on sight as well which is always a bonus to have a restroom available!”

“This is a beautiful park for hiking. The art along the way is wonderful and also blends in the surroundings in a wonderful way. There are pora-potties available near parking lots and gathering areas. Google maps first took me to the entrance area where the skate park is. I drove back to the art park entrance and that was a quick way to hiking trails and to the art installations. The skatepark looks like it's in great shape but I don't skate so all I can say about that is that the concrete looks smooth and the rails seemed sturdy and it was clean. I look forward to attending an event at this park sometime.”

“Hidden in plain sight. Beautiful strong waterfall. Hiking g boots recommended, but I did the river trail in regular shoes. Saw people heading out with kayaks which with some good rapids would be fun!”

“Visited this labor day. This is good campground for first time campers. Near to civilization so you can run to a store if you forgot something or near by restaurant. Car parking and campsite is very close so we carried too many items from home. Bathrooms are clean. This park has lot of activities swim beach, hiking , biking etc. Very safe but little noisy at night we could hear car passing by and there is no policy for quite time after 10 pm. We had a good family time.”

“Visited here today for the first time. It is a nice off-leash dog park with a swimming pond, a water fountain for filling up bowls and bags for clean up. There are walking paths throughout the park and it is nice and wooded. You do need a pass for this park. A day pass can be purchased instead of season pass. I will use this park again.”

“Received an in-home aasessment of a project I had in mind. Don was very upfront with me about its limitations and what was feasible. He gave me great suggestions and alternatives. No project scheduled as of yet but the passion he has for his craft and professionalism was refreshing.”

“Trail entrance was a little obscure and there was a sign saying the trail was closed, but we forged ahead. The trail has a number of hills around the lake making it a more vigorous walk, but it's beautiful. It also linked up with Caponi Art Park.”

“Revised 12/01/2021. I've been bringing my Corgis here for about a year and I have added a star. We pay the annual fee at a couple other parks but almost always choose to take our dogs to Alimagnet. Sure, it's the closest to us but there's also a couple other things I've noticed that make this park better than the others [1] - Ample waste bins. There are a lot scattered around the park. I'm pretty sure these are maintained (emptied) by patrons and volunteers so do your part and take them to the entrance if they're full. Most other parks have bins only at the entrance/exit. [2] - Heated shelters for humans. If you're the type that likes to stand in one place and be somewhat comfortable on those cold and windy days, it's definitely a plus. [3] - Occasional events. Sometimes you'll be able to buy ice cream for yourself and/or your furry companion...bonus! [4] - People working in the background to keep the park clean, safe, and hospitable. I don't know who you all are but thank you. I have read some other reviews and I don't necessarily agree that Alimagnet is less clean or that owners are less mindful of their pets. Good practice at any park is to clean up a mess if you see one even if it's not yours. If you didn't realize that it's not always possible to know what your dog is doing 100% of the time, you're relatively new to dog ownership :) I have experienced a couple dogs getting overly excited but wouldn't classify it as a pattern or unique to this park. There's a 'small' dog meeting area at the entrance and a 0.4 mile fenced in loop around a small pond with a sign posted that the water can become stagnate and dangerous to dogs during warmer months. Because the water area is separate from the rest of the park, it is possible to keep your dog out of that area altogether which is nice if they lack willpower like mine do. Opposite the entrance, there's a larger area for more energetic or bigger dogs to play and fetch; this is usually devoid of any grass as it gets trampled daily so on wet days, prepare your dog bath ahead of time. Gates by the entrance and outside the large dog play area help contain your dog but the overall area is small enough that you don't have to worry about completely losing track of your furry friend. There are usually free pet waste bags supplied by a local pet store and I've gone at various times and haven't encountered overcrowding. Also, it's (1) FREE and (2) convenient and thus the perfect place for my stubby 6 month old corgi who is now over a year and my new 6 month old corgi.”

“Great small neighborhood park. It’s next to I-494 but the tall sound barriers do their job well. It has a basketball court and a playground.”

“This place is immaculate run really well lots of space to get in and out very secure. And I need to say this it’s run by people that work almost 24 hours a day whenever I’ve reached out at four or five or 6 AM they’ve answered and they have compassion and grace. I am in the middle of a divorce which is why I needed storage units and they have just been such nice people. May God bless them. They are good humans.”
