“Went on a Monday. No other horses there and no bikers. Great trails and although part of trail is near road or bike path it wasn’t a big deal. My horse is broke to all that stuff!”

“It was really fun! The wave pool is a favorite, as was the lazy river. Bring full water bottles. their website is nuts for telling u to bring them empty. You can bring food, would have to go outside fence to eat but they stamp u so u can return. They also have a water station. Their fries were tasty.”

“Nice Pavilion with great views all over just remember to bring some water. Can stare at the potential of hundreds of thousands of gallons water but not spicket. Great cell service everywhere in the park.”

“The park is great it has plenty of ledges and the rails. Overall it is a great clean park, only downside is I would like to see more transition such as a bowl or something in that category”

“Overall a great little park for kids. Tucked away in the middle of a housing development, it's got your typical playground with slides, swings, and things to climb and spin on. There's a small gazebo with some picnic tables. But outside of that, not much seating or shade, unfortunately. There's a nearby baseball field and full basketball court. Trash, recycling, and portable toilet also available. There's also the Brockway disc golf course right across the street from this park.”

“The baseball diamonds are in great shape, the water park is outstanding (gated though, not free}, the new kids playground is small but well done, and the open fields leave a lot of room to roam and play soccer. The softball/kickball fields are minimalistic and I don't have any information on the restrooms, as I have never been in them. Parking is usually a breeze on either the south side or the north. Overall, we always feel safe there and the kids from the school dominate all but the baseball diamonds.”

“Clean lake but it gets sketchy if you want to swim in it. The mud is deep and not worth walking in the middle to get to the deeper parts.”

“Great and helpful staff. Park office has a great store and lot of information for the park and MN state parks and trials. Still cold and with snow. Water pretty high on the river but safe to bike and hike. Campground with heated bathrooms for ladies and several potable water spots. It is a great park for families, dogs owners, and 1 hour from the cities. Gas station 10 minutes away has all you need (wood, propane, etc). April weather has mostly RV using the campground still some brave souls camping with a tent.”

“We love this playground, at any time of the spring, summer, or fall! It does not tend to be terribly busy most days, which is a big bonus now when we are socially distancing. There is equipment for any age, from a baby swing up to a fast spiral slide! The picnic shelter is also very convenient.”

“Updated 07/17/2020 The city replaced the playground and cut down a number of trees along the path. It used to be a nice shaded trail with a lot of birds. Now it is full sunshine and the birds are further back into the woods. They did repave a section of trail that was in need of repair. The playground is nice, but the tire swing is missed. The basketball court has been removed and it looks like a small shelter will be installed on its place. The benches are now located in areas that receive full sunshine. Thankfully there is a grassy area to escape the heat in needed. Old review We come to this little park all the time. It's tucked back into a wooded area and has a grassy section to play games, trees that are spaced perfectly for hammocks and the paths hook up into the surrounding neighborhoods. There is even a path that goes under Hanson that connects to other parks nearby. If you come in the early or late portions of the day, you can often find wildlife in the creeks and woods.”

“This is a wonderful neighborhood park! It has a "big kid" playground and a separate "little kid" playground. On nice days, there can be a lot of kids playing on both areas. There is also a very large open green space that is great for playing ball games, flying kites or just running around. The paths that loop around through the forests are great. You can keep going on the paths under Hanson Blvd over to Woodland Oaks park (creek, forest, smaller playground) or take a connection path over to Bunker Hills Regional park.”

“Great splash pad for the children, the park also has 2 playgounds as well as walking paths and a relaxing island to sit and relax if your children will allow it. Would highly recommend and will continue to return.”

“Great dog park. Our favorite so far. Large section has good visibility and dogs can’t get lost in the woods. (That has happened at other parks!) Nice and respectful dog parents too! Deducted one star for a tumble in the small dog park because of an aggressive hole. (Which was filled in next time we were there.)”

“We had a great u-pick blueberry experience here. My kids were efficient pickers so it took us about 45 minutes to have 4 quarts of beautiful blueberries. I love that the blueberry bushes are tall enough that you can pick berries while standing! The price for berries is very reasonable, we’ll remember Silkey Gardens for next summer.”

“I had a great visit today to view my tree at Better Place Forest in Marine on St Croix,Mn. I was met at the visitor station by Tori who offered me water & mosquito spray before we took a ride in a very comfortable safe vehicle through the forest on marked paths down toward the lake. Using the new maps that are available & coordinates we located my tree.Such a beautiful maple with a great canopy. I had a very nice experience today. I’m very happy with my choice of final resting places.”

“Nice neighborhood park with a baseball field, children's play area, and walking trails, large mowed grassy areas, and plenty of trees. It's bordered by back yards and woods. There are paths into the woods which will beckon the more adventurous children, reminding me fondly of the many childhood hours I spent playing in the woods.”

“Beautiful place. I visited August 2021; the trails were too overgrown to hike in very far. The groundwater-fed prairie here was more lush than other places I’ve been this season that have been affected by the drought.”
