(January 3, 2019, 9:27 am)There was so much to do at Watkins Woolen Mill. They have several buildings on the property to look at, and tour. The visitor's center has a well put together museum. The staff was very nice and informative. I will be going back again.

(November 13, 2018, 7:41 pm)This was our first time visiting here and staying at the campground. We picked a very good weekend to enjoy the Fall colors. Although it did rain Sat night into Sunday we still enjoyed our stay (.. except for the large group of loud campers across the road from us who, for some reason, thought the rest of the campground wanted to listen to their music) I would definitely take the guided tour of the Mill and house. Our guides were very informative so we learned quite a bit about the Watkins family, the history of the area and the time period in general. The campground is a MO State Park so we had electric hook up only. The website says after Nov 1 there is no shower house or water available at all. There is a pretty clean toilet available.

(October 26, 2018, 8:38 pm)I love the whole park! The Mill is a neat historic site for the whole family. The lake is awesome for fishing and small boating. Lots of shelters and little tucked away picnic areas. Campsites available. Wildlife is abundant. And the Fall foliage is beautiful!8

(October 24, 2018, 2:45 pm)Beautiful country setting. Perfect place for family photos in addition to taking a tour of the house and mill. Such rich history here! Tour guides are knowledgeable and well informed. The school and church would be amazing additions to a tour package. We walked around those areas after the mill and house tour.
