“Stopped by this dog park to let my Boxer stretch his legs on our road trip. Very nice wooded area with plenty of shade on a sunny day. It has a functional water fountain in the center of the park for you and your pooch to stay hydrated. Those who regularly frequent the park are very nice and welcoming to newcomers as are their owners. We very much enjoyed our time here and ended up spending a few hours.”

“When my brother, a Navy veteran, passed away about a year ago, his widow contacted Swan Lake Memorial Gardens and spoke with Don Ballard. Though my brother's family intended to have him cremated and, at the time, had not yet determined what they wanted to do with his ashes, Don offered to handle all the necessary arrangements, charge only the nominal fee for the cremation process, and then present the cremains to his family. There was no pressure whatsoever to use any more services from Swan Lake or purchase anything, only that it was available to the family if they were needed. I know my late brother's family, like I do, would sincerely recommend Swan Lake Memorial Gardens for your funeral needs.”

“This is really a nice place to get a bit of decent hiking or mountain biking in around KC. Trails are well maintained and very clearly marked. The only downside is that it's right next to Lake City Gun Range, but apart from that, great place to get a solid hike in! We did 4.8 miles with a 8 and 5 year old and they worked through all of the inclines and elevation. I will most definitely be returning!”

“Beautiful area! Awesome playground equipment! This park is a well kept secret. Parking lot on both North and South sides. GPS took me to the North side off 40 hwy. The parking lot on the South side is closer to play equipment. Not marked though. End of 22 St. Good luck finding it. Nice walking trail. Noisy from 40 hwy, but a serene setting. Limited shade. Shelter house, tennis court, horseshoe pits all close to each other. Bathrooms are on the gross side, but at least they have running water. All areas are handicap accessible.”

“Nice park great play place. It has a nice assortment of you kids and older kids play equipment. My two year old has a blast there, he runs around and there is usually a decent amount of knew kids to play with all ages. The park also has baseball diamonds and lots of open greenspace to wander.”

“The playground equipment and board walks are old but there's still some fun stuff. Also it looks like they are re- doing the black top hiking trail and the new sections are wide and smooth for a nice walking Loop. There is also a pond.”
